LOL. The French are so funny. 😂🤣😂
Not funny at all. But very sad. The French always complaining about cycling "à deux vitesses". Suggesting their (clean) riders have to compete against doped/medical prepared riders from abroad. While the French were during the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties, beginning of this century among the most doped riders. Amongst Virenque. The French make fools of themselfes letting Virenque carry the olympic flame.

You know like a thousand people end up carrying the flame for a short distance on way to Paris?

The Lizzy Banks and Kateryna Nash *** is just hard to even comprehend much less tolerate if you consume any kind of english-language cycling media. It's just astonishing how much journalists yearn to be lied to and just how overwhelming is the need for that ersatz-cosmopolitan progressive mob to find an outlet to channel their pent up tribalism. Just an astonishing amount of "the great and falsely scrutinized Flo-Jo against those cheating androgynous East Germans" reruns. History repeats itself because humans never get tired of lying to themselves.

If by “went through” you mean she and her husband spending their life savings to hire attorneys who could produce enough doubt in a 600/page filing to get the violations dismissed, that was her choice.

Strict liability doesn't leave you with much of a choice.

I wish there was a middle path that UCI & anti-doping organizations could offer. For instance, tell her she can clear her name and keep riding, but to do so she must agree to take a lie-detector test and get her blood tested every week by a certified lab, for like a year.

UCI communicado official

They're back on absolutely top form here, suspending Rob Stannard from 17/08/2018 - 17/08/2022, someone needs to send a calendar to Switzerland and remind them what year it is at this present moment in time.
Compare this the CX rider Toon Aerts contamination case
Toon was stopped for two full years.
How many months has Stannard lost here?

well, unlike Aerts', his career is over, I guess? Who (outside the Asia Tour) would pick up a rider that can't keep his passport in order?

I suspect that Stannard and his legal team came to an agreement because the ABP was not an overly strong case, hence, the backdating of the suspension. It's a pity because going back to 2010, Stannard,Ewan and Power were clearly the best Aussie under 23 riders and only Ewan lived up to that potential.
