Amazing!Gigs_98 said:The Ötztaler Radmarathon, one of the worlds hardest amateur races in the world, will become a pro event next year. The riders will ride on the same route as the amateurs, over 4 passes (Kühtai, Brenner, Jaufenpass, Timmelsjoch) on a day with 5500 meters of climbing. I'm really looking forward to it.

Not just that... According to his - somewhat silly - antics on social media he seemed to really be looking forward to retiring. So, did he decide to take a year more because he wanted to, or because the team convinced him to, potentially with a huge paycheck, in order to get his points?

Looks like the 2016 route was released on January 1st.Brullnux said:When is the Tirreno-Adriatico route released? The race needs to return to the awesome hilly/medium mountain stages it had in 2013/2014 and before then. The last two years, even if 2015 had Castelraimondo, have been disappointing in that regard.
The classic route of Tirreno was a mix of flat and light hills stages with uphill finishes, the hard hills and mountain stages seen in recent editions don't suit with the tradition of the race.Brullnux said:When is the Tirreno-Adriatico route released? Yes, it's more balanced but now it's one of the many climbers friendly one week races.Brullnux said:I know but I like the balance they have found in this decade, or since Scarponi's first win.

With the lack of stage races that suits classics riders i hope for a return of the routes seen until 2008.
