It was rumored to become Giro del Euregio last spring. Actually I was a bit frightened it ain't gonna be realized since I heard nothing about it anymore. Very nice the organizers include (South) Tyrol into the race. Makes it a more than delicious appetizer for the Tour of Italy!

Another Purito year left!!

Yeah but riding for a team that shouldn't be so its a little sad ain't it

Not just that... According to his - somewhat silly - antics on social media he seemed to really be looking forward to retiring. So, did he decide to take a year more because he wanted to, or because the team convinced him to, potentially with a huge paycheck, in order to get his points?

He sat on his sofa, saw the Vuelta and thought the same as all of us!

I don't think the game changer was the money nor the opportunity to end his career on a high note, but mainly the fact that he was offered a job for 18 and 19. Its a good thing he will stay in the sport, but why not as a stagedesigner?! That Els Cortals-stage.

We still don't know what his role will be in '18 and '19. Maybe he can combine it with a job as commentator. Would be great!

When is the Tirreno-Adriatico route released? The race needs to return to the awesome hilly/medium mountain stages it had in 2013/2014 and before then. The last two years, even if 2015 had Castelraimondo, have been disappointing in that regard.

The classic route of Tirreno was a mix of flat and light hills stages with uphill finishes, the hard hills and mountain stages seen in recent editions don't suit with the tradition of the race.

I know but I like the balance they have found in this decade, or since Scarponi's first win.
Yes, it's more balanced but now it's one of the many climbers friendly one week races.
With the lack of stage races that suits classics riders i hope for a return of the routes seen until 2008.

Essentially the 2016 T-A?

It's odd to say until 2008 because in 2007 there was a route with a mountain finish, much like 2016.

Until 2006 is when it was very different, those are the routes I'm sure Nirvana means
