Last year's route was better without the 100 kms on the Riviera before the Cipressa that are good only for crashes (i know also for touristic advertising but that has nothing to do with the sporting aspect).

Anyway we know that nothing will happen befrore the Poggio regardless, under normal circumstances.
 
Really interesting route. Other than the stage to Saint Haon le Vieux, the sprinters might have difficulty nailing down a stage.
Nice to see a small climb introduced after the Joux Plane for a change. Usually we usually get the descent into Morzine but Les Gets adds a little extra this time. The stage to La Plagne should see pretty big time gaps.
