The route for this year's Vuelta Feminas has been presented today. I'm personally not a major fan of the TTT, having Oronet in a yet another race, the fact that there's three uphill finishes and no stages that ends in a descent, and the lack of an ITT.

The race will end with the classic Morcuera/Cotos combo, but instead of continuing on to Navacerrada, they'll turn left and finish at the Valdesquí ski resort.

not sure if people are interested but the administrators handling Sweetspot have posted the statement of affairs at Companies House, showing which companies Sweetspot owed money to and how much in total, which was roughly 2.6million at the time of collapse.

It also shows that 813k had been loaned from the business to the directors of Sweetspot, which the administrators confirmed to Cycling Weekly theyre expecting to get back to pay off some of the creditors debts.

Still laughing. And the star power of tequila is also comical. You can get bottom shelf tequila for a 750ml for $6-7 usd..and they don't try and play games with the bottle, no fancy label or box, standard top. Then celebrities, who only go to Los Cabos( Cabo San Lucas) all act like they are in touch and introduce a tequila brand that is same or similar product to bottom end rot gut but use Gucci packaging, super beautiful bottles and labels, cool top made of wood or stone, crystal glass shape to look expensive. Scam alert!!
And these soda drinks are the same, all about distribution and catchy art work on the can!! And once you are of a certain age, you know what you like to drink, a variety pack usually means you get a can of what you want and 3 undesirable cans of weak vodka mix that smells and tastes like an annoying urinal cake!! These celebrities can sell anything!!
What I thought was the peak of bs, was, "growing consumer demand for quality canned cocktails." Cocktails in a can ... jeez. Reminds me too of "alcopops" which was basically getting 14 year olds hooked on alcohol.

I liked alcopops back in the day, I miss my Smirnoff mules, bit of fizz, fun & alcohol was a great combo, lets face it artisinal gin in goldfish bowl glasses is just the modern day replacement.

in anycase if its alcohol cycling crossovers you want this is the UK brewery to look out for

Steve Martin in the film The Jerk, is sitting in a trailer eating out a Styrofoam, cup of noodles looking container, he says to his circus performer girlfriend " this pizza in a cup is the best!! It's way better than the other guys pizza in a cup "
Don't know how many people I would have to ask until I found someone aware of cocktails in a can, let alone them being in demand!!

20 km too much to be Gran Piemonte. Wrong race they destroyed.

not great, but better than last year at least. Here's a profile of the final 30k:

1st climb is Sacro Monte di Belmonte, up to Pemonte:

It's a decent route as Sanremo warm-up, but it has nothing to do with Milano-Torino. It could far more easily have been a new finish of Gran Piemonte.

Main problem is that the startlist of Milano Torino is so bad the last few years it's not even worth a watch anymore sadly. It's the result of the route change, and cause lots of sprinters nowadays skip MSR so also do Belgian/French races instead of this one.

Like Ive skipped through the start list earlier today and well... it's really bad. There's a good amount of WT teams but half of them is just filled with pack fodder.

Judging by the startlist, all of them except UAE (and to some extent Bora) seem to think it's gonna be a sprint. Hirschi, Ulissi and Christen can just TTT away on one of the climbs to do a Gewiss-Ballan reenactment.

Cycling, the sport that eats it's own ...sad news about death of a young cyclist in Belgium -
https://cyclinguptodate.com/cycling...nas-bresseleers-died-in-fatal-truck-collision
Jonas Bresseleers, a 24-year-old cyclist, was killed in a serious traffic accident in the Belgian village of Meer on Friday, March 15 his former team Acrog-Tormans reported. Bresseleers suffered a serious head injury in the collision and died on the spot a short time later. It is the second fatal accident for a rider from the team in five years. The sudden death of Bresseleers hits the Acrog-Tormans team hard. "Words are inadequate for this untold drama. Much strength to the relatives to bear this loss," the formation wrote on Facebook. The team experienced the same horrific situation five years earlier. Then it was Stef Loos, Bresseleers' teammate, who died in a traffic accident.

It's early so could definitely change, but weather for next weekend (and Friday) looking pretty great for hard races! Lots of wind and also some rain.

An update on this.

Friday for E3: for now it looks like most of the rain will start falling after the race. Maybe they'll get some in the final but not enough to make a real impact.

Wevelgem: this will be carnage from 150km onwards, peloton will 100% split in the Moeren (35km/u cross tail wind) . Very big possibility we will go to the hills with only 25ish riders still able to win like a few years ago.
