One thing is for sure : at first, they will be over-zealous to show that they "are doing something" and that "it works".
Be ready to see some ridiculous judgments beginning of next year...

yes the website will close with immediate effect, and redundancies for those impacted :( the focus going forward is the youtube channel

I watch a few things often.. Itchy Boots, a woman from Holland that rides a smaller cc motorcycle all over and another annoying guy named Nick Johnson who goes around the US showing how screwed up everything, everyone is..Itchy has 2.3 million subs, Johnson has 977k . I saw a few videos about what they are getting paid from YouTube. I also watch some other cycling stuff, way less subscriber base. When it was on I watched GCN race highlights, often good to excellent and normally less than @10 minutes. Don't know what Chris Horner is making.He has 80k..GCN has 3.25 million. Jumping around Johnson is estimated to make @$165,000usd.

What a tragedy. Speculating that it might be TV2, Discovery or a pro team, but I have no clue. Actually thinking about it its probably a pro team

Hasn't he literalled have had a team and is on the motorbike/studio in for many races? Also there seems to be a lot former riders still very much affiliated with the sport in some way or the other, and Im sure it would be relatively easy for a rider with his stature to get a decent job

His team has long ceased to be. & yeah he was a TV pundit - i guess Blythe was cheaper. Pick a sport, any sport, theres thousands of former pros & very few pundit/coaching jobs going. Nevermind the stars, you've spent your whole life being good at just one thing, then in your mid 30's you're on your own. I wholly support the idea of coming up with a support system or something for former pros to help them adapt to normal life & find a new career.

Might be a decent overall point, but when it specifically comes to Wiggins, I dont buy that for one second. He could become a DS, trainer, pundit, commentator or whatever if he wanted to with his resume. He just seemed to piss his opportunies and money away, and that's his own failt tbh.

Wiggins has a strong love/hate relationship with cycling so the normal post-riding careers are not really his thing. He's blown a small fortune from what I've read so that does not help. If WT-teams through the UCI are compelled to some time dedicated to education or work-training for retiring cyclists, then it could help the less well off.
I seem to remember that the French have a system for retiring riders (maybe it was Mr Ring who wrote about it) so that they have at least a good education for a second career. Pozzovivo famously has degrees and should not have problems after this, his last, year in the peloton.
