Well... he does have some rather funny ways of helping the sprinters. Remember when he acted as a living shower for Cav during TdF? :p

Great for Evans and Gilbert!

Probably pretty good for Valverde too. Could be interesting, and we could certainly see ACF kicking off again, either with delight as Evans finally manages to finish ahead of his nemesis after years of trying, or with fury as normal service is resumed, photos of Evans just behind Valverde proliferate and ACF's rage is rendered impotent because Valverde has finally served his time, so ACF can no longer fall back on the "he shouldn't be riding" excuse.

Not good for Gesink *hint please ride the Giro hint*

Hopefully they put two 50km long ITT's in. If that doesn't force Gesink to ride the Giro instead of the Tour I don't know what will

Pff Evans, Gilbert, Valverde, you have got this all wrong guys.

This isnt a stage for those type of riders.

The Schlecks and Cancellara are going to try something.

With regard to making sure the stage is never contested rather than attacks of course ;)

And you think Gilbert would have ever listened to someone like Cancellara or the Schlecks in the first place? :p

Would have been fun to watch Cancellara throw his tampon at Gilbert when he constantly attacks the peloton :D

Nothing to do with Gesink can't TT idea. He can and he did prove it again this year. But when there are 2 50km ITT's even a nice 15th place in the ITT won't save you in the GC.

What? A slightly uphill finish isn't good for Gesink? Just how much of a fail do you think he's become.

Ah. Great idea to ride the Giro then. There are no explosive hills in Italy, after all.

the level is much lower (unless contador is there). And there's a lot of steep mountains to make up the seconds you lose on the hills, unlike in the tour

It's taken you time but you have finally admitted that Gesink can't time trial. How mature of you!:)

Just been told that CCC have pulled out. Apparently dispute between team managers and sponsor?

I cant find anything to back this up.

Hope its not true.

Yeah it's a shame, although we won't be spared of seeing Euskaltel and CCC in the peloton together, it must be the curse of the cycling commentator. It's as bad as Sky and Garmin having very similar kits.

Anybody else think that had some different rider been faced with Contador's situation, they would have given him a ban a long time ago? I think they're being too nice on the guy.
