I foresee a lot of activity here during Il Giro when G drops the ever loving soul of goat climbers like they were sprinters and yet claiming all the SKY allegations are rubbish & unfounded rumors

You mean like at the Tour last year, before he finally blew up?

back then "G" was a "domestique" but now-according to Brailsford & SKY - he has evolved thanks to the almighty marginal gains & cutting edge training program with Froomey, so "G" has become a "GC"

yeah i had fun watching that stage, with Landa and Pozzovivo attacking off the front, two real talented climbers and two of my favorite riders, right up until Thomas went by them like a locomotive. not normal.

With one kilometre to go, Thomas attacked and surged across the 20-second gap to the duo. He caught his breath and then kicked again just before the left turn for the steep ramp up to the finish line. It was a show of confidence and leadership.

An equally strong Landa came back up to Thomas in sight of the line and eased up to take second before the two exchanged high fives and celebrated together. Thomas and Landa finished four seconds clear of Pozzovivo, with Pierre Rolland (Cannondale-Drapac) leading in the others, including Thibaut Pinot (FDJ) at 13 seconds.

It's funny to call track rider someone who's racing on the road since 2007 and finished his first GT in 2008. Around the same period of time Primoz Roglic was still ski jumper.

What's Primoz Roglic got to do with anything? Is he really a contender for GC? Besides, He's got his own thread.

I brought Roglic up to indicate that a lot can be achieved in much less time than 10 years (which is how long Thomas career as professional road racer already lasts).

Indeed 10 years is a long time, but for at least 7, maybe 8 years "G" was a northern classics rider. Then what 2 years ago, thought "oh I'll try and become a GC rider now". If a random 28/29/30 year old northern classics rider made the same change, there would be some "G" defenders who would being calling "foul".

Apparently you just need to be good at something to become potential GT winner nowadays. I'm already putting money on Connor McDavid winning the Tour within the next five years.

Oh yeah, he keeps warm on the stationary bike between periods and then warms down after the game. I think he'll do three years of northern classics though first before he would be considered serious contender for winning Tour

Thomas won Bayern Rundfahrt as early as 2011. 6 years ago. much can change in 5-6 years. he won Algarve 2015 and 2016, Paris-Nice 2016, twice 15th at the TDF (while wroking as domestique) 2nd TdSuisse 2015.
Let´s see what people say when Jungels (6 years younger than Thomas, together with him on Tuesday on Etna)) will try to podium a GT in 2 or 3 years.
