Gotta be Dowsett, Stannard, or Eisel. My money is on Stannard, and he would indeed be an asset in the TTT. Dowsett would surely have mentioned it on twitter by now.

Dowsett is still getting over his broken bones, can't see him making a comeback into his first GT

Are you including Appollonio? Do we know that he's riding or are we just assuming he is because he's Italian?

If Eisel doesn't go then it's a pretty inexperienced line-up.

That's my thinking too regarding Dowsett. Bit of a shame for him though.

Nordhaug is doing the Tour of Norway instead. He looked exhausted yesterday, so maybe not a bad thing he's not down for the Giro. Definite shot at the Tour de France squad. Personally hoping he does Vuelta instead, and gets a chance to do some things for himself rather than for Wiggins/Cav at the Tour.

I've been arguing against the automatic inclusion of Appollonio all year. With Cav there for the easy sprint stages, his inclusion along with Swift seems a bit redundant.

But he is Italian.

I'm also not convinced Sivtsov is still due to ride.

Yes, I agree with you on Appollonio.

On Sivtsov, it's certainly possible that he doesn't ride now that Uran has changed his plans but they'll still have Froome, Porte, Rogers, Nordhaug and Lovkvist as fresh options to support Wiggins at the Tour. There won't be much help at all for the two Colombians if Sivtsov doesn't ride.

GreenEdge pretty much what we expected. Weening is the one missing name that we expected to be there. Really happy to see Cam Meyer riding. Bobridge to finally do a great prologue.

He'd better keep his nose out of the wind that's for sure.

if your such a wise guy shall we make a bet about henao not dropping in the ttt? 100n euros. let's see if you can put your money where your mouth is

This "bash a rider to get to his supporter" thing is getting old. Henao has never given any cycling fan any reason to believe he'll be dropped in the TTT (barring crashes, injuries, sickness and the like).

Sivtsov just seems to be going everywhere with the Tour squad. Seems pretty comfy in there.

Only 6 I'm definite about are the 3 track guys, Uran, Henao, and Cav. After that there are about 10 names I wouldn't be shocked to see, including Lofkvist, Sivtsov, Flecha, maybe even Hunt, Knees.

I thought Davis was riding?

Also Sky will make sure he isn't dropped. They'll go as fast as their weakest TTTing GC* rider can manage. Whether he'll hold them back a bit is another matter.

*assuming the Henao plan is to ride GC.

De Jongh said somewhere earlier in the season that Sivtsov is on the preliminary Tour squad.

I think Knees is more likely to do the Tour. Sean Yates has said in the past that he does a great job keeping Wiggins out of the wind as he's such a big unit. Can see him doing Thomas' job at Le Tour as Geraint is otherwise occupied.

at cyclingstartlists, they only have confirmed Uran and Henao for Sky. No Sivtsov. Does anyone think Henao will make the Top-10?

henao we will see how much of a gt rider he will be in europe. in colombia his climbign became limited. but that doesn't say too much. see also last years utah where he climbed very well. he should do better than uran. he's a bigger talent. uran is less consistant
