How is the wind in italy?

-The first 10 km section will be tail wind.
-most of the intermediate bumpy section will be blow sideways
-Only the last 6.3 km will be pure headwind.

Damn, that helps Quintana.

I have been looking on the official Giro website but cannot find a page giving the state of play in the ITT today. Is there one, please, or is there one on another site that I can follow? Thanks.

3 minutes between top 15 but only 1 minute between the rest.

I wish there was 1 minute between the favorites as well. It's more fun when they catch each other.

I'm quite interested to see what Bialoblocki can do here. He must have had this day ringed in his calendar ever since CCC got an invite to the race

So one of the few time trial specialist here, Campenaerts, has been ordered by Lotto-Jumbo to take it easy. He has to save himself to help the team leader the coming days. *sigh*

Certainly one of the few specialists.
Maybe slightly too technical for him to win. Should be a high early benchmark.

Doesnt mind the time Dumoulin will take this afternoon, he will crack badly in one of the last week stages. Pinot is the real contender for Quintana.

Pinot more likely to make the podium, Dumoulin more likely to win in my view.
