It really doesn't seem like Dumoulin is ill. No way he'd be able to keep the gap mostly stable if he were.
If that's true than taking a nature break at that moment was pretty arrogant and rather stupid.

Not really, if you really really need a nature break that can be excruciatingly painful, no way you can perform at a high level in that situation. However after the break you can be absolutely fine.

Lol at all these newly registered members blaming Movistar for this.

It's like as if this the first time they've ever watched a GT.

In a way, as a fan of Tom, Im okay with it. It certainly isn't ideal but at least this way he can just ride his power and not worry about responding to attacks. Sure I'd rather him be with that group but there is a silver lining.

As far as neutralizing goes, I wasn't a fan before and it'd make me a hypocrite now...as much as I've never really liked Movistar.

Quintana can't be too strong when he's being this passive.
I think he's just focused on Nibali now. Dumoulin is surely going to be finished off in the next few days. And he's got a decent advantage to Nibali, so no need to be overly aggressive.
yes, moreover he's thinking about winning the giro fairly comfortably to save more power for the tour.

I'm not blaming Movistar, I'm blaming all teams who pushed on, inluding Movistar
Also, it's the opposite. Having watched GT's for a long time, it's obvious that in the past they would have waited

I don't see how Dumoulin is "surely going to be finished off". It looks like he's gonna lose 1'30 today. He's still gonna have a lead of a minute over Quintana.

Quintana needs to focus on distancing Dumoulin much more than he needs to focus on Nibali.

People are looking too much into Dumoulin's 'incident.' He's actually climbing really, really well alone. If he was sick, he would've cracked a while ago

As a fan of Dumoulin I really wish they had waited. But to be honest I don't see why they had to. This wasn't a mechanical or a crash, this was a direct result of his physiology, just like having bad legs is.

It's likely the sign of a physical problem and even if it isn't you can't wait on the last climb of the queen stage because someone has to take a ****. I can't believe people would even suggest they should. In fact, you shoud NEVER wait for someone because of that.

Actually too bad Quintana is getting rewared while having such a bad day.

Maybe the whole strategy changed... If I could get over one minute and save energy for tomorrow and thursday, I will take it

Obviously, you didn't watch what Fignon, Roche and Delgado did to Bernard in the TdF 1987
