If I'm a Sunweb rider, the next time I need to take a piss, Nibali or Quintana can expect a golden shower...

Apparently Jungels was docked 5 seconds for hanging onto a team car yesterday. Hadn't heard about that until now.

Why wasn't he DQ?

It was only a short overhold, not a warp speed manouver like Nibali last year. 27 secs onwards to the benny Hill music.

Oh so like Majka or Quintana grabbing a Motorcycle for a short time? Not like Froome getting towed up by a moto in the Giro, or his Nibs getting his free ride in the Vuelta.
Most likely Jungels just got a sticky bottle for a bit too long for the commisar's liking. 5 seconds and a fine implies a very minor transgression.

Tom Big Mouth looks cooked, but there is no more terrain to attack.
As if Nibali doesn't have a big mouth. Just because he won 4 gt's it seems condescending to look down on 2nd and 3rd place when Zakarin and Pinot would kill for those places. It's arrogant too.

It would be arrogance if he didn't win 4 GTs... but he did... so it's not arrogance...

Why would a four time Grand Tour winner care for a second or third place? Zakarin and Pinot have a *** palmares compared to Nibali, so obviously they would kill for those places. Your post really makes no sense.

Just look how far down Dumoulin was before the split happened

There you have it just not paying attention and way down the group, thinking no one would do anything this early. Hopefully he learned to keep his Big Mouth shut.
Leave Britney alone.jpeg

You'd think Dumoulin had morphed into Armstrong overnight from some of the comments on here, extreme fandom is bad for the brain.

Yes, the whining and sulking from a few about some very mild criticism of favourite riders yesterday was entirely disproportionate in exactly the intensely unreasonable way young teenagers get about favourite pop stars.

Sad that Nairo and Nibbles aren't confident enough to win this race cleanly.
You should consider changing your nick and your avatar :D
1985 Vuelta or 88 reference?

I hope Dumo knows how to pee from the bike
Interesting one right? You'd think all riders know how, and Dumoulin certainly has the handling skills, but a few months ago Dombrowski let it spill that he had just recently mastered the maneuver.

In the context of today's stage, Vuelta 1985, obviously ;)

The peloton will probably get a lot bigger on the next 60 kilometers :(

Seriously. Nibali has been on every step of the podium. At this stage in his career it's not condescending to say that he'd gladly sacrifice a guaranteed 2nd or 3rd for another shot at 1st, it's only the latter that will add to his legacy.

You got me there. Guilty as charged. In my defense though, it wasn't p*ss or sh*t opposed to indecision on Millar's part. As well as the divisive directors. Delgado wasn't involved in the decision making, just the beneficiary.

At the same time, he lost a few GTs due to poor luck himself.

I'd go with "Así se enteran de cómo somos los vascos" [that's how you know, that we are basque"]

I think this kind of stage finish could be much more interesting now - a real leg-killer for someone. Going hard for a couple of hours, followed by two hours of soft pedalling, then having to finish with a 30 minute all out effort can be tougher than a multi-mountain stage in some ways. Surely at least one of the contenders will have blocked legs - and maybe also riders haven't eaten properly during all the earlier action.

Sunweb DS confirmed to RAI that Tom wasn't on a toilet break when they attacked. Heard with my ears.
