What did you expect, there was no strong leadout possible to string it out when everybody kills their team 2k out.
I didn't expect there to be a grand total of one leadout man left with 600 metres to go. That was an uncharacteristically awful job by most teams, all too scared of going too late so they all went too early.

On the plus side, that did limit the speed going into the final corner...

Ok, I agree. It made no sense that they rode so fast at a time where you still had 2 kilometers to move up as long as you kept your teammates. On the other hand, if you‘re at the front as a team at 3k to go, there‘s no way that you can decide to go backwards and try again a kilometer later.

There was a crash involving a Polti rider inside 3k to go so I think they just haven't updated it to reflect the cancelling of time gaps yet.
