When did they start with the train? I think it has definitely been there the last 3 years, but I don't recall it from before 2022.

I think it's quite cute.

Lately it's been looking like Ala's career is on its last legs, so if he can win a stage in this race it would show he maybe still has something left. That's why I'm pulling for him anyway. Also, a touch of masochism.

It's also the same terrain where Sagan did his final masterclass on stage 10 in 2020, so it would be quite fitting for Alaphilippe to win here.

Gotta feel for Jakobsen, this is a real bummer.
I think it would have been sensible to pull him from the race regardless of whether he could actually get on the bike today. He has the Tour on his schedule and he was well short of contending for victory here even before yesterday's crash. Lund leading him out doesn't seem to work either. They were both way behind which is why they ended up involved in the crash and Lund was on Jakobsen's wheel which is not how it's supposed to be.

Narvaez was doing nothing but waiting during that 50k flat when everyone was jumping and wasting energy, they're gonna have to lean on him and attack if they want to shake him off today.

Alaphilippe is so dumb. Just save yourself and sit back, no problem for him if the 2nd big group comes back with 2 strong teammates
