He will have gone full gas today, he's not going to be any less tired come tomorrow. We'll see if we've underestimated him after the last climb, personally I don't think he has enough.

Will he lose any tomorrow though? Astana and sky would have to go full gas early on to try and crack him and im not sure they'll be that bothered. Sky could easily get 2nd and 3rd when kotchetkov goes back but if they dont take time back tomorrow bouet should be able to hold 3.19 surely

imo, Sky could take the win overall, but they appear to be more interested in dealing out a couple of psychological blows in Nibali's direction.

Perfect tactics from Sky today. Did very little and ended up in a winning position.

He looked really strong. Astana train couldnt catch him.

He will probably be the next Porte/Henao.

I thought Wiggo was probably not going to make it back into shape for the Giro. I thought all this talk of saddle sores and illnesses not for the ladies (presumably the runs) was a cover for not being up to it.

Fool on me, i guess.

So that's Froome, Porte, Henao, Kanstanstin, Wiggins, and Kiriyenka all now hitting form. More or less at once.

Sweet lord in heaven. The fix is in, boys, and the divil's been paid...

I think Bouet is locked at least for top-5 overall, tomorrow he'll be motivated wearing the "maglia rosa", even if drops on the last climb, the descent will minimized the eventual losses possibly arriving on a small bunch.

Friday, 4 minutes to manage his place (till 5th place), stage a bit tougher than today's, it will depends how much Astana and Sky want this GC and the consequent rhythm imposed by their domestiques.

But that final climb it's a mini-monster.

Thankfully they wont bring all of them to the giro, so it wont be complete domination i think.

Wiggins looked very comfortable today, had no problem with Nibali at all and was just cruising over the line. Its going to take something special for Nibali to be able to drop Wiggins in the giro, and i really cant see how he is going to make up for the 3+ minutes he will lose in the ITTs.

he has only 3;19 now, not 4 minutes after tomorrow for sure
if he loses time tomorrow too, it's over.
4 minutes till 5th place ( Nibali 3:57m ), that's what i said.

Anybody can tell me anything about Aru's performance?
Pretty solid looking at the result, but I didn't watch the stage.

Santa again in excellent form and probably not peaking. I wouldn't discount a top5 in the Giro at this point.

Also, Dyachenko very good.

Santa will lose a LOT in the time trial in the giro

Maybe Sky will repeat this tactic in the Giro with all their riders taking it in turns to win stages whilst Wiggo just sits on Nibali's wheel.

Wiggins
Henao
Uran
Lopez
Cataldo
Sivstov

I'd say they'll be fine.

Haven't seen the stage yet, however for what regard the " will Nibali drop Wiggins in the Giro" discussion, just remember this was a quite easy climb while it will be in 10% plus section that nibble will he have a chance to drop Wiggo.
Sega di Ala will be a much more indicative test.

Also glad to see Stefano Locatelli doing quite well, hope he'll finally show something this year after all the hype he recieved in Italy while U23.

Nibali can drop Wiggins at will. The question is whether he's good enough to make that last more than 15 seconds.
