Who can win the stage, if not a big favourite?

with "big favourite" you mean Battaglin and Felline?

the stage will be very difficult to control, I think a break will make it to the end. Although Nibali might be interested in testing his legs early on as this stage is a good test for sunday, which could lead to a very interesting outcome

Cataldo and Felline have 45 on the peloton after 10km

Am I reading this right - have Sky just send somebody up the road in an early break?

Are they just taking the p*** now?

That's interesting however. It could be that Sky brand new tactic for the Giro will be to put people in breakaways instead of trying to train-control the stage.

Pozzo or Pozzovivo? Assume the latter.

EDIT: Pozzo isn't riding so I echo Eschar's sentiments.

Maybe having mastered one (the train), they know others will try and counter it, and are now 'road-testing' other tactics to keep 'in reserve'.

If so, that's just cruel is what is it, cruel. The SkyBorg Express is already all but impossible to break; if they start adding new stuff to the arsenal just for sh!ts and giggles...

where's Dan martin when you need him!

I guess they learned something during last TA.
