Yes, but conventional pro cycling logic doesn't apply to Sky. He was very close to his peak form at the Dauphine last year. That was 3 to 4 weeks before the Tour start and 4 to 5 weeks before the first decisive Tour stage.

Yes. And what did he do at Dauphine that was great ?

An ITT. Which he is alwayys good.

The rest he just followed his teammates. This race is harder than the whole Dauhpine and has no ITT.

Same as 2011, but the climbs were harder then.

His Allevard result still holds up well. That was the best Wiggins we had seen up to that point.

But never great before 2011. Long TTs, I mean.

Like he always does. He looked pretty good, though, I thought. Better than Van Den Broeck and them. IMO

This race is harder than the whole Dauhpine and has no ITT.

Catalonia has no ITT either, and he went there to win according to 2 of his DSs.

How did that work out?

Exactly as I predicted it would. I didn't say it would work, but that's their M.O.

Sky haven't changed their race to win, and train to train-approach, as far as I know.

They talk about "internal problems" between inside Rai but really didnt explain what's the problem.
The latest news seems to have the highlights of the first stage and then live for the others.

Team Sky have announced their line-up: Wiggins, Cataldo, Dombrowski, Kennaugh, Knees, Pate, Siutsou, and Zandio

Weakest of the 3 Sky leaders, Sky's second string mountain domestiques, and Cataldo playing the Kiryieminator role... I guess Sky isn't taking this seriously.

Well someone doesn't like Wiggins. Siutsou, Zandio, Cataldo and Knees are all decent domestiques but I agree it's not their strongest team

Most of the rest are in the Ardennes, Wiggins will have a stronger team for Giro

Yeah I think there will be at least 2 changes but I think this will be a similar team to the Giro maybe Dombrowski and Pate won't be in it

It's pretty obvious that on current form Porte and Froome are stronger than Wiggins. Unless he surprises us in this race, he's going to have a tough time at the Giro.

If Cataldo has his Tirreno form he could even be a favorite for this race. And Dombro will have to show something sooner than later.

It's nowhere near their best lineup, but still pretty good for a race like this.

This is likely a preview of their Giro squad.

 Of course they're taking it seriously. Do you realise there are some other races going on at the same time as Trentino?

I have no idea. The rosters I posted are the ones in the official site.... maybe it's not updated.

Atapuma is going in the Tour of Turkey. It's lame, I know, but I think they think that by doing so there's a chance of winning the race.
