Are you kidding. Watching it at like 11 is the absolute best.

Here in Europe where the races are all during summertime's at the points where the temperature is at its highest, i always feel bad that im sitting inside and watching the race rather than taking advantage of the sun. But you guys get it in the winter at night.

We in the U.S. occasionally have to set the alarm to wake up to see a race but the biggest problem if you're a cyclist is that the biggest races/stages are on the weekends at the same time as all the group rides. You either have to skip the ride and go by yourself later in the hottest part of the day or ride and then hope to find a video later while trying to avoid spoilers.

Yeah. I was talking about Ozzies.

You Yanks (and canadians) on the other hand have it the other way round.

Badly screwed:p

Chapeau to all of you who actually wake up early to watch cycling.

Anyone else got that "feeling" looking at those climbs?

Should make for great viewing!

This is a great stage, but with sat/sun in mind I fear it might be ridden a little easier.

Before the giro I liked Jrod for this. After etna I started to write him off, but he showed something yesterday, so maybe.

Means even those who have work, school etc can catch it.

yep i love watching the races at night. I wouldn't watch nearly as much cycling if I lived in another continent.

We're coming into the 4 stages that Contador visited for recon. If any o the favorites attack, he'll follow eventually, but probably won't fall for false early attacks. If his legs feel good, and no one else attacks, he'll look at their faces to see if they're struggling, and probably go. Things are so unpredictable that I don't think he'd hold back trying to take time on a stage when he feels good in order to go for a win the next day. That whole Saturday stage is up in the air, with a Plan B course in case of rain or snow, and possible problems getting help if there's a mechanical, or food and water any time. I'm seriously concerned about guys bonking on the Zoncolan because they couldn't risk eating on the Crostis decent, and went many kilometers without access to team cars.I say try to build up a bit of insurance time Friday in case things go wrong Saturday.

I'm picking Contador to finish first among the GC guys, and maybe put some time into them, but could see a larger break actually taking the stage. I think Scarponi might have peaked too early, and could drop down the standings. With Petacchi gone, Contador could have pink, red and green jerseys at the end of the day.

this is it- no more hiding or waiting-those who want to make up time most make a move & tomorrow is where Il Giro begins!!!

I'm going with Rujano & Purito to make an statement - sadly for them- Conta will be near by....

Don't think Saxo Bank will allow him to get into a break.

I think what he means is that someone from the breakaway may win it, or that if not, JRod beats out the other favorites. I don't see that happening personally. If anything, I can see Rujano trying to lay down the law and try to move up on GC.

Hoping to see some fireworks tomorrow! Hopefully the main GC guys have to come out and play thanks to an attack from Rujano or someone.

I'm very interested to see how Scarponi is doing. He started great in this Giro, but after the Etna and yesterday's stage, I'm getting the feeling he maybe past his peak. I hope he'll still be in great shape, but he has been in shape for a very long time of course.

I expect small group to survive till the end, I can't see which GC-contender is going to sacrifice his team today with two extremely tough mountain stages after this one.

If They are riding for second expect that but... In this stage We would see who really wants to win and be willing to attack and try something...

BTW... Saxo must be really happy! having MASSIVE exposure in this Giro since very early!

My tip for this stage is
Rujano all the way...
Is a long climb where He can ride powerful tempo, He is way back in the GC and as We saw in Etna the other riders dont see him as a threat yet...
Alberto will follow wheels but, If He is feeling like in Etna, I expect him to attack in the 10% ramps 3km from the finish...

If Nibali is thinking in winning this Giro He must attack! attack! tomorrow... The same for Michele, but He's offpeaking and I expecting to lose time...
Lets see if The Pope and Fuji want to attack tomorrow... *Fingers Crossed* ;)

forget the "trilogy of hell" i like more the gazzeta one:

IL TRITTICO TERRIBILE!!!!!!!!!

the breakaway will be very important tomorrow.i hope androids and astana to do some damage.

1.rujano
2.contador 1:20
3.scarponi 2:00
4.rest of favourites who never attack each other 2:20

In the interests of the race I'm hoping Contador crashes/mechanical/allergy issues tomorrow. That way perhaps he will go full bore on Saturday :D

I think they see him as a threat now. I don't think he will get that kind of freedom again.

I think that They are not going to mark him cuz They wont want to spend energies marking a guy who is 6min back and if They do that They will be spending energies that They will need to cover Alberto's attack... They dont want another Etna
