I don't know why you people suddenly became so grumpy. This stage is better than 95% mountain stages of the last 10 years.

Agreed. Decent length and a sensible design to maximize the chances of the contenders moving early. If I had to find one flaw, it'd be that the start is a bit too easy, so a weak break could get away.

Today Beppe Conti claimed that the final stage might not finish in Turin itself. The way it was phrased suggests he probably hinted at Superga...
So, how about a Turin - Superga MTT of about 20 km? ;)

That'd be nice for a finish to a GT!! When's the actual announced route?

october 5th
So 1 week and 4 days?
yup

2 updates:
- first of all, the hint at Turin not hosting the finish seems not due to Superga, but to the fact that Milan is fighting back.
- The stage to Asolo will have a cool finish... a local article says that they will climb the Mostaccin (roughly 3 km at 7-7.5%, depending on the side), as well as other couple of bumps.

The stage to Corvara looks raelly good, Santt anna di vinadio is confusing me, it looks good but short but what is the penultimate climb? Stage 6 looks fun (that is descent finish right?) Cividale stage is good, Arrezo stage better have sterrato, Setola would be better without the MTF (i'm not sure if it is, it's quite hard to understand). Asolo will be a fun last 5-10km, as will Andalo and Pinerolo. The risoul stage :( Bressanone is waste put like that.

Is this 100% definite?

The stage to Corvara looks 100% the one I anticipated, judging by the length. Vinadio will be Vars-Bonette-Lombarde I suppose. Stage 6 will be to the ski station of Aremogna as I mentioned a while ago (pretty shallow climb, definitely with some more before it), Arezzo will have sterrato but not much. Sestola shouldn't be MTF from what I know but can't confirm, Asolo will be like this year's Vicenza.
The MTT will be a stupid gimmick. 10.8 km. Pfff.
The stage to Andalo instead of Livigno the other disappointment.
It's a Giro where the medium mountain has all the potential to make more damage than the high. Now we just wait for the profiles.

Is it me or are there very few high mountain stages next year?
They saw people complaining about the altitude and decided to lay low :p
No, seriously, yes. 3 stages of real high mountains, plus the MTT and maybe Andalo, depending on the route but being 3 stars I don't think so.
