Dumo and Froome to falter a bit, Yates holding fast, Pozzo with the form of his life to deliver fireworks.
All the while I will be working...
The same. I will record the whole stage, not enter The Forum till 7pm! - when I start to watch it, read posts simultaneously, skip commercials!, swallow some beers= >great evening
So simple.. I think
Yeah, everyday i do this lately because i work between 14:00 and 22:00 in this period.
The MySky decoder is my best friend :D

Anyway i shall admit that if i have a PC nearby i find difficult to not look for the results.

I wonder if Yates is beginning to regret gifting four seconds to Chaves earlier on.
No Yates is regretting the conservative follow the wheels approach he just adopted. He should return to the bit between the teeth aggressive method that has served him so well and crush his rivals. It is much easier to take the pain if you are the protagonist.

Nah, he didn't have the legs. In previous stages he'd laugh off the attacks then jump away with 2km to go.

I'm in the US with no eurosport player that works here...any tips?

Download hola vpn extension for chrome, set it to somewhere in europe and eurosport player will work just fine from the US, although sometimes its very laggy. I've had the most luck lately connecting to the player thru an ireland ip.

I'd advise against hola
having read what they do with your privacy.
For one-day better to trial nordVPN - they don't ask a credit card for that and they are good.
Select which country you wanna be in - having read http://www.steephill.tv/giro-d-italia/#live

http://tiz-cycling.racing/ seems to be some sort of hope

A not so low-res non-VPN non-english (dutch?) ES alternative
can usually be found here: http://sebn.me/
but that can lag 40s behind - not so good for forum commenting.

Just a warning - I've tried Tiz a few times. It worked great for one live stage, but when I was watching a replay the other day my laptop got shut down with a strange virus. No enduring effects, but it makes me a bit suss.

Sounds like I'm in the same boat as a bunch here. I have a 2 hour web conference that will probably start when they are on Finestre. Fortunately others will be doing most of the talking and maybe I can have have it up on my second monitor. It would probably be better to wait, avoid all spoilers and watch it later on the big screen but I don't know if I have that much willpower. :p
Seems some people will lose their job because of Finestre. It might not be worth it. :p

Wont matter if he don't have the legs anymore.

If Yates was feeling good yesterday, I am sure he would have attacked in the final. Evidently he was not feeling good and his rivals attacked him instead this time and was able to distance him.

Maybe it was a one-off and he will be good today, but if he is starting to run out of energy then he will have no time to hide on the remaining stages.

The condition of the road surface in the Finestre doesn't look like it will favour out-of-the-saddle attacks :D

O wow.

Two thoughts:
- Haha, they are going up there, awesome!
- Really concerned about there being live pictures from up there

Cometh the day, cometh the man - Pozzovivo! TommyD to hang onto Poels wheel if he's smart.

MS could be "Aussie-mandias" "Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" - snow instead of sand though! :)

Thought Froome doesn't like the cold? He may struggle up there and I can see him get to the top of that climb and fall over sideways frozen solid and shatter into a thousand pieces.

I have no idea what is gonna happen today, but what I would like to happen is Pozzo and Froome to have blinders and get within seconds of Yates and Dumo for the overall. Pinot and MAL to resurrect their Giros and close in on the podium to make tomorrows stage even more epic. Aru to win the stage!

Re: Giro d'Italia 2018 stage 19: Venaria Reale – Jafferau 18

If you've won 5 GTs you're not just going to settle for a podium.

This is what Froome said yesterday:

"For the first time we've seen that Yates wasn't at 100 per cent. It's a surprise because he was really strong so far. Now after what happened today, everyone will think about attacking him, so anything and everything can happen tomorrow and the day after tomorrow," Froome said with genuine enthusiasm.

"We've got the Colle delle Finestre, on dirt roads, there’s room to invent something," he said, hinting that he may risk a long-range attack on the dirt-road climb that comes 94km from the finish of the 184km stage in an attempt to at least isolate Yates.

"The race is still on," Froome made clear

Also Matt White made it clear that he expects Sky to throw the kitchen sink at the race. The thing is Pozzo doesn't have any teammates who could feature. I think we'll see a Movistar, Sky & Astana heavy break and then Froome being the dawg as usual, but I doubt he has the legs to pull it off.

I'm on Finestre right now. The weather is nice and warm. Roads look good so far (7km to the top). There a few wet spots here and there but overall good conditions any average Joes climbing it on their road bikes).

I'm guessing the muddier sections are further up, where the snow is melting.

Judging from yesterday I would say he doesn't.

I hope the 2 Level Crossings (at 21 and 14km to go) don't come into play. That is the Main Line from Torino to France.

Eurosport is scheduled to start live coverage at 12.15 UK time. The Israelis might be live from 12 o'clock UK time already!

I think they have changed the route for exactly that reason - to avoid the level crossings. According to the lastest map, they go on the A32 autostrada now for that section.
