Long way to go still. So many different things could play out (except Yates coming back). I'm really not sure what to expect. My gut feeling is that Froome can't keep this going.

Yates struggling to make the time cut...

Commentator saying he could lose 20+ mins today
It's a miracle if Yates is within 20 minutes at the top of sestriere.

He‘s looking so bad, I fear he might even DNF.

Yates might be 20mins down, but some people will be 45mins down atm. He's fine, but seems unwell. Tmr might be worse.

Sestriere's a typical power climb.
We'll see how the gap will move.

It will increase. Do you really think sky put this up if they didn't know they could pull this off?
^ indeed
It'd be highly surprising if Froome isn't in the lead after this stage

Why the **** isn't Lopez pulling with Dumo? FFS he could even climb the ladder with Pozzo behind them. I hate that Majka-style of riding.
Actually if Lopez doesn't pull that means he might go all in for the win. If Dumoulin and Froome pull all the way to Jafferau he can gain minutes on that climb. And there is another hard stage coming tomorrow.

Seems plausible. Hope you are right!
EDIT: but still find that pathetic. That guy is a waste anyway.

What the ******* **** is happening? This stage is everything.

Yates DNF? He will drop out of the top 10 for sure. How much time do you guys think he'll lose? 25?3

I bit the bullet and got a Eurosport Player subscription this morning so I could listen in in the background in work (and watch in the foreground when nobody was looking). I went for the annual one and it's already paid for itself.

What's the odds of Dawg blowin' up before the finish?
I think they will all blow up before the finish. It's just who blows up the most.

I think there's a certain amount of risk.
You can't be 1/1 sure with this kind of effort.

Can't see Froome keeping this lead with 5 chasing but I hope I am wrong.
If they are all already on the limit though, it could end up like the big classics. Where one rider can be comfortably stronger than several chasers.

Officially never be rooting for Lopez or Carapaz again. What a bunch of freaking idi*ts... I'm so mad at this.
Why? Their battle is with each other, they're gaining places anyway, and Lopez and Carapaz are fairly useless on descents and valleys, so they're saving themselves to go all out on the Jafferau and tomorrow. It makes sense.

i used to be like lots of cycling fans not willing to pay but tbh £30 pa for it is not bad. I watch many other sports so that helps but worth it still i think and just makes life so much easier
