That's what I thought. Way too long behind car but because it was mechincal then it doesn't count I guess.

I just hope the breaks advantage with 15k to go will still be bigger than a minute. In that case it's very interesting. Otherwise no problem for the peloton

It didn't surprise me that the bunch took it seriously. I am surprised though that the team doing most work was bmc, defending a jersey they'll most likely lose anyway. I expected they would be looking at Astana

Bad luck for Ciccone. Going for the Etna stage (and the climber jersey) probably was the plan from the beginning, but the presence of Chaves et al is ruining it.

Guess he's mainly in the breakaway as a precaution if the group stays away.

Ciccone probably jumps away on Gran Sasso d'Italia again, since there are KOM points available prior to the final ascend to Campo Imperatore already!

I don't believe Denis wil lose minutes. He did fairly well on similar finishes (just outside top 10 or just inside). If he loses time at all, it will be <1 min
