Maybe they should introduce bonus minutes, instead of seconds. That'll give some incentive for some GC riders, no?
I must honestly say I follow this Giro less and less. Remco's abandon was bad, but Hart's crash was the DNF too much.
I feel I haven't missed anything...

Any chance Caruso will have a go on the technical part of the descent? (Sunday morning optimism :))

Prime Savoldelli could have started this descent from the peloton and caught everyone in the breakaway by the end of it. Not exactly a technical masterclass by anyone involved.
Salvodelli would get dropped like a brick on the climbs by the modern peloton though.

The 2012 Tour was bad, but not as bad as the 2012/22 Giro's IMO. At least in the 2012 Tour there was action on most of the mountain stages, I would say 2016/17 Tours were worse IMO

Despite the 2022 Giro beeing bad it was still alot better than this by quite some margin imo. Its alot different in terms of excitement, if we get the riders that likely will go on the podium in a group together and then sitting up or meme attacking or like we have here the group of so called favorites never getting smaller than a dozen riders by stage 15(!!)

I did say upthread that it can still roughly match the 2011 Tour...
I think you guys make out that the 2011 Tour was worse than it was, the first 2 weeks were bad but since Remco abandoned this Giro has felt so flat. Plus the farce of Crans Montana makes this far worse than the 2011 Tour IMO

You'd get them racing for the stage but they'd all end in sprints then probably

Oh no, GC riders aren't making meme attacks when the 2 top teams don't wanna race for no reason
