This is not his kind of climb. He can hang on a grinder like Campo imperator. Big question is the Dolomites...
He was dropped by a lot of people in the end. His idea of not reacting immediately was smart, but he is missing something today.

Great ride by roglic. He showed initiative and broke remco. Thomas and hart show they are up there with the best

Thomas and Hart looked like they were going to wheelsuck all the way to the line, luckily they didn't. A little *** in Evenepoel's armour, not much, but I think in retrospect he should be very lucky that yesterday panned out the way it did, because I don't think he is at his very best right now (maybe understandably because of the crashes).

edit: beloved patriot? what the hell? that's not what I typed. interesting correction by this forum

Tomorrow remco will put a minute on the INEOS riders and then there are 4 (4!) Easy days. Could have gained another 10 seconds and more psychological advantage if they pulled with Roglic. Only Roglic was prepares to win il giro
Nah, pulling in the descend wouldn't have done anything. Roglic was descending at max speed. The moment it was useful and it would have been a help they did that.

Healy with another masterclass.

I hope that today's Remco crack was due to his fall three days ago otherwise he could suffer a lot in the mountains.

Roglič was back to his best self in that last climb but the biggest surprise for me was Thomas. The biggest disappointment, Vlasov, he is far from last year's shape.

Lol, chapeau to Bora for trying but they cooked their guys and lost 40s.
Still, showing more ambition than Ineos.
Seems like Vlasov honestly just don't has it this year. Kämna a bit over ambitious maybe but still looks good for a top 10. A lot of guys who will fight for 7-12 were quite far back. Didn't saw Pozzo, Uran, Pinot and Rubio anywhre. From a team performance pov Ineos and Bahrain looking strong. Especially Ineos with all there goof tters.

In the end it still was a mistake not to make that race harder as Remco seemed to be really in trouble and could have been put more in the red before the TT. If tomorrow goes as exptected they have to crack him once really hard with 20 or 30 sec here and there it won't be enough. Plus Ruglic doens't has the team here. Ineos, UAE and bahrain have to take it up. Bora I think we can strike from that list after today.

Nah, pulling in the descend wouldn't have done anything. Roglic was descending at max speed. The moment it was useful and it would have been a help they did that.
Nah, that's not true. There was a flat(ish) section before that where they didn't pull either. Finally Ineos can really make a difference and then they don't do it... until a few hundred meters before the line.
