WOW
I think RCS knows the Saudi money is huge and they'll be the first to sell out to them
How long until the Giro get's dakared and moved to Arabia? Ok, the can do that with the first half of the race if they include one of those 4-5 harder than the Zoncolan climbs that Saudi Arabia has every year.

not moved, but a start from there will come sooner than we might think. when I heard the Saudis were ready to splash big money the first word that came to my mind was -RCS-

All sport is going there, I wouldn't be suprised if they tried to do a grand Tour there in the future. At the end of the day if they are offering huge money I don't blame the organisers.

A season finale winter grand tour in Saudi Arabia... Except it's 35 stages or something...
I mean, they do have stuff like this that is paved and on nice roads...

I think we will see a departure from Saudi Arabia in the next years but I imagine that it won't be in may because the climate is too warm. Flanders Classics are in total agreement with the One Cycling Project and we will see the reaction of ASO. I bet in the next years the Tourcentrism will be in real danger...

the most followed races outside our little niche of cycling fans are Roubaix and the TDF. the ASO-centrism will go on, thank god

This year there won't be the usual two intermediate sprints and the intergiro, instead there will be the new Red Bull KM sprint where the first will take 6" the second 4" and the third 2". There will be one RBKM for each stage except for the two ITTs obviously.

I guess it'll nonetheless be three sprints per stage. Can't make it too easy for the Eurosport commentators.

It doesn't need Recta Contador. The problem is that it's about 30km too long

Gavia instead of Mortirolo is waayyyy shorter
Thats my point, just a pointless stage full stop. Maybe Gavia and Bormio 2000 would work, and have this is a back up incase Vegni does a Vegni.

Think I would take Recta Contador over Gavia. Change that and put Tzecore close to the finish and suddenly I genuinely like this route

They should have put Gavia in and just have the faux-Mortirolo as the alternative.
Hell, give me the 2012 side of the Mortirolo!
