Can't wait for another Cervinia MTF!
Too bad it can't be chained with Montevergine Di Mercogliano and Planche des Belles Filles.

It's sad because it's trueCan't wait for them to announce stelvio or agnello 45km into a 190km stage that will no doubt be neutralized and turned into a 50km mountain sprint during the race
In all fairness I don't mind Montevergine Di Mercogliano in the first week, it's the classic easy first week MTF.Too bad it can't be chained with Montevergine Di Mercogliano and Planche des Belles Filles.
Awful climb. Even though I don't expect Finestre during the first week, it should be something more than a climb where 20+ riders are still gathered with 1 km left.In all fairness I don't mind Montevergine Di Mercogliano in the first week, it's the classic easy first week MTF.

My impression is that people mostly hated the Super version. I don't think its inclusions in 2014 and 2017 were particularly ill-received.To be fair, the same could be said for Planche des Belles Filles which is also always used in the first half of the race when it has been a road stage. Yet people hate it (probably because it has been used very frequently).
I think you are either conflating the gravel ramp version with the normal version, or Libertine's semi-tongue-in-cheek opinion with majority opinion on here.To be fair, the same could be said for Planche des Belles Filles which is also always used in the first half of the race when it has been a road stage. Are we talking about a some restaurant on a mountain in northeastern France or the concept of belles filles in general?Dear @Red Rick , do you love La Planche des Belles Filles with all your heart?
If we are talking about that, it's definitely closed when you arrive. 10% chance it's open but they are 'not suerving ze food' and instead you get a coffee which taste like it's made from ground parexetamolAre we talking about a some restaurant on a mountain in northeastern France
A 5 % climb can be ridden in close to 30 km/h. It is extremely difficult to create much gaps then. You don't need 12 % climbs, but more than 5 % would really be an advantage.put a couple of the aliens in the field and there won't be 20 riders together at the finish.
There are 20 riders because nobody is good enough to launch a real attack
Prati di Tivo is much harder climb and it still had a group of 12(?) in the last kilometer.put a couple of the aliens in the field and there won't be 20 riders together at the finish.

Even freaking Galibier had a group of 8-9 before the last ramp.
