Provisional startlist: https://www.giroditalia.it/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/0NU2nxsxhfqaXR3Fw4VH_020525-122741.pdfToday we will have the provisional startlist and the official guide Garibaldi. Anyway with an enormous delay...
I only heard that they started working on the road last month, so I figured it was way too late for this edition.@Eshnar have you heard anything since?
Thanks. At least it will be ready for an inclusion in the coming years.I only heard that they started working on the road last month, so I figured it was way too late for this edition.
Fausto‘s on it, Woohoo!
I wonder when we'll see the best side of Mortirolo again. Combined with the classic Aprica finish. It has been far tool long since last time.Thanks. At least it will be ready for an inclusion in the coming years.
Unfortunately, i don't think Aprica is the reachest ski station, nor the province or Brescia is the most intersted in promoting that area, so the absence of classic Mortirolo may also have some economical reason.I wonder when we'll see the best side of Mortirolo again. Do you think JSM will ride for breakaways or try to go for GC? He should have a completely free role in the team.5 Norwegians at the start line even without UNO-X.
Svestad-Bårdseng, Tjötta, Gudmestad, Staune-Mittet and Byström.
No idea really. I doubt he is to 10 material this year so it depends if it would be beneficial for him to fight in GC for a top 30 finish or whether the time is better served going for stages. There is some benefit to go through having to fight every single day to hang on without rest to eventually become a GT rider but without knowing his overall training plans it's hard to know if he is in a spot to benefit from that now or not.Do you think JSM will ride for breakaways or try to go for GC? Really too bad. It's one of the two best combos in cycling. Even if they fix recta Contador, it's not the same.Unfortunately, i don't think Aprica is the reachest ski station, nor the province or Brescia is the most intersted in promoting that area, so the absence of classic Mortirolo may also have some economical reason.
Yeah. And what's a shame is that they didn't have to change too much in terms of start and finish locations to make it one of the best routes in later years.Anyway, terrible route this year. Some stages are fine in isolation, but the way the overall Giro is constructed doens't convince me in the slightest
I guess that's a positive, but then I really wish they would stop using the eastern ascent of the Moritrolo for a while.Thanks. At least it will be ready for an inclusion in the coming years.
Will be amazing to see a neutralized Mortiwronglol 5 more times before we see her classical side again.Thanks. At least it will be ready for an inclusion in the coming years.
Carlos Ivan Oyarzun in 2011. Don‘t know if there were more.Rojas I think will be the first Chilean in the Giro ever.
This is why it was really annoying that they did a stage finish at Aprica in 2022, and for some reason used the eastern side of the Mortirolo, when it made more sense to use the classic side.Unfortunately, i don't think Aprica is the reachest ski station, nor the province or Brescia is the most intersted in promoting that area, so the absence of classic Mortirolo may also have some economical
It's still last year's edition on the site: https://www.giroditalia.it/garibaldi/anyone have a link to the road book?
Had they just done Trivigno as the penultimate climb, it'd have been a much better stage. This is why it was really annoying that they did a stage finish at Aprica in 2022, and for some reason used the eastern side of the Mortirolo, when it made more sense to use the classic side.
That stage was not bad per se, but I also prefer the classic Mortirolo stage, especially if you include the Corteno Golgi murito instead of the full statale. This is why it was really annoying that they did a stage finish at Aprica in 2022, and for some reason used the eastern side of the Mortirolo, when it made more sense to use the classic side.
Seeing they just started working on the roads a month ago according to Eshnar, I think the road book might still take a while.anyone have a link to the road book?
