I don't think he's going to win the Giro. He's going to have a bad day. This doesn't give us indicators for the high mountains.
Del Toro in pink! Let him win this race!

Jesus Christ... belgians...Van Aert gives El Toro a valuable cycling lesson
Del Toro is stronger than Ayuso here, so I don't see how. Del Toro is a huge talent. He has been walking this Giro IMHO.C'mon Del Toro, don't let Ayuso go away just like Vingegaard in the Vuelta 2023
Then why was Konrad actually riding behind Vacek when the later was in the front of the race? They just rode the stage in the worst way they could have given how strong their team was.I'll say it again:
Vacek was designated by the team to go for the win today.
As long as that was feasible he stayed out front, and when it wan't he dropped back to Ciccone.
He did exactly what the team wanted him to do.
Haha funny commentDel Toro didn't deserve the win tbh, attacked because of a crash then didn't even have the courage of his convictions and wheelsucked instead of driving the gap home to get a big GC lead.
Regardless of whether he is or isn't which we can disagree on that doesn’t change the point. Why didn’t Del Toro deserve to win the stage?
That was the point. I’m glad Van Aert won; he deserves it too, after his struggles glad for him! But my point was that saying Del Toro didn’t deserve it is hard to take serious at that point
I haven't been able to see any of the race but the reports say he punctured...the worst way to lose a ton of time and energy trying to regain position. Good thing there's a rest day before the TT; he's gonna have to work to recover position from now on.With the day Roglic has had - arguably through no fault of his own - coming in 1:15 behind his main rival is close to being a save.
Definitely not the catastrophy it could have been - but it is obviously a worry for the rest of the Giro, that most of his team was nowhere to be seen today - on the day where it was the most important for them to perform.
Harper blew up spectacularly, finishing behind Storer
Riverawhose Brandon ? that Brian Smith translated that Bernal said was the strongest

UAE was the lucky winner today moving everyone up on GC!
Ayuso has Monday's TT to confirm his form. UAE might be facing an internal struggle if he is able to show some serious stuff.Seeing Ayuso lose a few seconds in that finale with Tiberi, which is supposed to be better por Ayuso, I understand the UAE's decision to keep Adam in GC.
Ayuso doesn't give me a sense of reliability in three weeks.
Of course, he's on schedule to finish somewhere between 4th and 8th while riding domestique. It's his happy place.I saw an smile in Adam Yate's face. LOL.
That sucks. Was that the crash that took Pidcock down?Caught behind in a crash and then a puncture not long after...all on the gravel sections
If Ayuso wasn't on his team, I would agree with this, but Ayuso will betray him when it matters.Great stage.
Isaac was the best rider today, and he's my favorite to win the overall now. Roglic all things considered did well to manage his looses. Was lucky that Pidcock and Gee also was caught, otherwise this would have been very bad.
