While Nieve has probably been of the best this Giro amongst these guys, I just don't see him doing the spectacular today. He must have used a lot of strength pulling the last couple of days.

Sella to do best!

SBS should start working hard soon, this is a very dangerous breakaway.

Nieve has been improving this Giro just like Anton. There is plenty of reason to worry about him getting too much time. If he takes pink with a minute lead then there is nothing to worry about though.
Last year he won the Queenstage of the Vuelta. This guy is a very good rider.

There is still 150k to go though. A lot of things can happen.

Sastre to destroy your imaginary pictures of today :p

I think Sastre was in the same break last year. ;)

Of course it's not the same and Tschopp doesn't win very often, but it's a nice thought.

What mountain points are available on Cima Coppi - Passo Giau climb? Is it the usual GPM Cat 1 points 15 - 9 - 5 - 3 - 2 - 1 or are there extra bonuses?

21 for the winner then 15 - 9 - 5 - 3 - 2 - 1 for the rest.

Money prize as well.

Edit: I'm wrong, no money

Go Tschopp, I think the KOM jersey is out of his reach. But if they allow the break to go, I will be rooting for tschopp. He has been climbing quite well with a top 20 in GC don't count him out.

so what are the chances of the breakaway staying away.

Think it depends on the guys behind. Somebody like Arroyo (or even Nibali) may even consider attacking on the descent of the Giau if the break are close enough to reach (like Nibbles did on Falzarego in 2008, unsuccessfully). If they wait until the top of the Fedaia to attack one another the break has more chance.

No. "TV" in the Giro refers to "Traguardo Volanti", the intermediate sprint competition. It's marked as "MV" in Spanish races (Metas Volantes), for example, the initials have nothing to do with television coverage.

Nieve is the reason why the gap never went over 10 minutes... And that's why they won't make it home.

I really hope nibali attacks on the descent. thats one of the reasons why I support him. Was quite dissapointed when he played safe on the short descent on the grossglockner

I'm not so sure about that. It's a large group (so noone has to do a huge effort), and there are some pretty good climbers in there. If they still have 6 minutes or so at the foot of the Fedaia, they have a chance.

cheers roundabout.

This means Sella takes the green jersey today, so I predict.
