This "little" ten percenter will warm a few legs up. I'd love to see them kick off here....

.....but they won't.
Don't hold it against them, they'd be absolutely insane to attack before the Zoncolan. Then again, it's an insane Giro, so why not.

Seems like every time I check Rai, they'e showing Jackson Rodriguez. They may be expecting something from him too.

If I understood Italian I'd be able to tell you. I have just watched a (most unusual) studio panel discussion about today's racing.

Maybe it's just that Androni is the only Italian team represented in the break? ;)

My prediction is it is going to be the same 4 as yesterday, Nibali, Evans, Basso and Scarponi. Evans has no need to attack today unless the others are tired. Basso and Nibali will once again try to control the pace, doing all the work and evans will just sit on their wheel. Evans is the strongest TT and knows if he is able to keep up with Nibali he will make up the time on the TT. I dont feel Basso or nibali will attack but try to save as much energy as possible knowing that they are going to make back the time on everyone above them in GC. Therefore i feel the only way it is not going to be these four coming in together is if Scarponi decides to attack, as he does need to make up time on Evans, Basso and Nibali. I would tip sastre for a stage like this being so steep on the last climb (he did look good on the steeper parts yesterday) but there is no need for him to attack today being out in front in the GC. Today for sastre it is about survival and minamising loses. This race is now between these 5 people, unless the giro pulls another surprise at us no one else can win it.

Looks like I need a feed as British Eurosport has motorsport on both channels and no live Giro:mad:

Any working feeds?

Cheers

Nice little bump, would've been better if it was the penultimate climb though.

While we're posting links, the chat thing is up too:

http://www.bikechatter.com/chat

It's easier to follow than clicking 'reload!' here a bunch (I think forums work better for longer, more thought out posts), and has live twitter feeds from 'procyclinglive'.

Stop by and discuss who's going to win and how the stage will play out. I'm guessing Scarponi, myself.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but:
Wouter Weylandt (QST, winner stage 3) really was ill when he quit the Giro. In fact, he was so ill he was admitted to the ER on Friday night with severe dehydration. He'd already lost 5 kilograms by that point. QST's doctor thinks the worst will be over after this weekend. I hope so!
