Isn't it time for the creche to close for the night?

Looks to me as if Cadel didn't pull on a rainbow jersey, last October, but a superman outfit.
Since his lousy Tour and spluttering Vuelta, he's been on fire.
Terminillo is taylored to his old, more usual style of mountain riding, then popping off the front for the bonus seconds. Can't see him getting distanced, unless the Liquigas pair can play the one-two of last year.
To me, the "clean one" looks a lot stronger than the "dirty one", or "ones," depending on how you view Basso.

Kiserlovski's a very interesting rider. Aggressive Croatian climber, who's been constant the entire Spring, with quite decent overall rankings in various stage races. He won the hilly one day race Giro dell'Appennino shortly before the Giro, so he's definitely in great condition at the moment. Unfortunately, he'll probably have to work his b*tt off in the mountains with Szmyd and Agnoli, but he could end up pretty high in the (youth) rankings anyway.

Kiserlovski was one of those guys who signed with Amica Chips and then found himself without a contract.
Hes another strong rider coming from the slovenian team Adria Mobil.

By the way, Bakelandts is going very well so far.
Ended 10th today.

Here we go:

Photo: Kiserlovski (Fuji Servetto) stoped by Croatian police

http://www.novilist.hr/2009/08/20/foto-3A-policajac-kaznio-kiserlo.aspx

Click on link above for some photos taken when policeman stop Kiserlovski for riding to slow!!

I will translate some text here:

Rijeka - One of the best croatian cycling rider, Robert Kiserlovski (23) was stop by policeman near Rijeka (Croatia) at saturday morning with accusation that he slows traffic down.

Robert says that this will disarrange his traning for Vuelta, beacuse every nuance is important and ofcourse 2 i half hours is a lot of time for standing here in the sun for him.

He says that this is third time that here in Croatia was stoped by policeman, two previous times the same policeman stop him in Buje (Istra).

"Anywhere in the world I'm not yet experience this, and I passed half the world. Indeed, in other countries people respect cyclists and protect us."

Policeman wrote down that Robert and his friend raced parallel and that this cycling can't drive at this roads, what is not true.

His team Fuji-Servetto at team official website represents Kiserlovski as one of the best young rider in Europe, but this is not strange in Croatia that sportsmen from not so popular sports are being treated bad till they do some great results. But even then they get just promises that they will get financial support and exc. but nothing else.

Usually the peloton will wait for the race leader if he falls, but apparently not today. They are WAY, WAY off the back.

They just showed a shot of Evans, but I can't tell where he is on the road.

Liquigas did not wait for Wigans or Evans. Only fitting the favour is returned. Reaping what you sow. Karma. Same concept. Serves them right. We all know who caused the spill as well. Sympathy? Not from me.

Part of the reason I hate it when youngsters are talked up. These two don't need the pressure. Looks like Bobridge has a lot to learn about climbing in a GT. Hopefully people will shut their mouths and let these young guys ride and learn. If they do well so be it, if not, same thing. They gave their best and all viewers can hope is they had fun and learnt something so they can grow.

I would not be surprised if they pulled out in the final week.

That's hilarious!

Thanks for all the updates on the rider! Looking forward to seeing him in the upcoming mountain stages then, even if he will be towing Basso ;)

To be fair, no one should be expected to wait for Wigans.

no problem, it's my pleasure :) because finally after Miholjevic we have someone in great race like Giro!

I hope he can do well for white jersey,

but what about Porte? I know he won TT against Valverde and company but he is also strong in hilly and mountain stages?

Noone really knows how good Porte is uphill. He finished in the 3rd group of the mountain stage in the Tour of Romandie two weeks ago, along side Vande Velde, Sagan, Mollema, Casar and a few others... But obviously that finish wasn't uphill.

He's a fighter though, and on the Cyclingnews podcast the guys were saying that he's been dropping weight like crazy since the start of the season, so I guess it'll be very interesting to see what he's gonna be capable of tomorrow. He could very easily sink, but equally likely is that he swims. It's really too soon to tell with this kid.

Yes sir, I did! Great ride by Larsson too! Hope he can do some more fine results before going to le Tour! (He is rinding the Giro as preparation for le Tour, right?)

It was a fantastic ride by Porte. Great to see a young bloke do so well in such a tough stage. Even if he fades later on it was a good indicator for the future.

If any of you weren't just content to witness a classic stage by ALL the riders without the sniping you should give up cycling and watch something else.

Evans- great win and determination

Vino- usual attacking ride

Nibali- gutsy effort in the face of problems and great loyalty

Every rider- chapeau!

Apparently Sastre had lots of bike trouble after the crash, and wasn't able to get a new one.

He looked pretty impressive the week before the Giro started. He won the Giro dell Apennino, from Pozzovivo, over a pretty hilly course.
