I think it's the same bike.

He started on TT rig, was on a road bike with clip ons and now he's back on the TT rig, perhaps he punctured or perhaps I'm hallucinating?! :D

Not a great place to try and tap DDL on the arm for a chat! "Hey Danillo, it's me, fatty in pink - oh ****, my hat!"

Is Menchov's weaker team a negative for him for the rest of Giro? But, gee, he's strong and finished ahead of di Luca on one mountain top finish so far. Hasn't hurt so far.

he put in a minute! a whole minute on the climb on Di Luca!

Probably the endurance of a real TT specialist who knows how to go really deep and suffer an hour or hour and a half... max sustainable heart rate for 1h and 30 minutes without blowing the engine

Menchov in pink tonight, surely. DDL is going to have to attack lots to get time and the jersey back before the final TT.

@ INGSVE: sorry man, looks like Lovkvist's top 10 is in jeopardy:(.
At least the maglia bianca seems secure.

And so will Astana. No iron procession to Giro win for them, here.

I remember one big mountain stage at the Tour last year (I've got a brutal memory) where Menchov may have been the top guy and was making a move but fell. I'm not particularly worried.

Great effort by Sastre!

The forgotten defending champ. Is as good as he has ever been wit the TT and if he isn't losing huge chunks like this today he will be there abouts once again in July.

Going to be fascinating to see Levi/Astana having to have to attack in following stages. Not a usual role for them.
