Is Menchov's weaker team a negative for him for the rest of Giro? But, gee, he's strong and finished ahead of di Luca on one mountain top finish so far. Hasn't hurt so far.

he put in a minute! a whole minute on the climb on Di Luca!

Probably the endurance of a real TT specialist who knows how to go really deep and suffer an hour or hour and a half... max sustainable heart rate for 1h and 30 minutes without blowing the engine

Menchov in pink tonight, surely. DDL is going to have to attack lots to get time and the jersey back before the final TT.

I remember one big mountain stage at the Tour last year (I've got a brutal memory) where Menchov may have been the top guy and was making a move but fell. I'm not particularly worried.
