Thanks for the non-sequitir, Hoggy! I'm still waiting for a restraining order to be entered, somewhere, anywhere . . .

But I'll admit that I am hurling rocks from my glass house. :)

Must be one of those terms that has "precise" meaning in Federal land. Only you know about such things and choose to share with all of us on the Internet!

George Hincapie's committed non-committal appeal to the public-

"I um...I think Lance has done so much for the sport...

I um...we should be looking ahead...towards the future...um...

The past is the past...um...but I'm such a nice guy...everyone thinks so...um...

Everyone did the same thing, it's just that Lance was awesomer at it than every one else...um...

Lazer-like focus...no one's been tested more...

I think we should be looking ahead...um...I chose not to ride in the Olympics...or the World Championships...

Um, lazer-like focus on my family now...moving forward...um...

...been doping since lapping the field at every race in Central Park as an overgrown teenage doofus...daddy got me stuff to inject from Colombia...um...no one knows about that, though...no one cares because I'm such a nice guy...

Um...deep vein thrombosis in leg from EPO abuse...no one will ever know...um...

Hincapie does have a cycling apparel company, and the factory is in Colombia.

Third world labor and First world profits. Plus salary, bonuses, investments and endorsement deals.

FYI: Hincapie's dad is Columbian.

Our company owned factory in Medellin, Colombia is run by George and Rich’s aunt and uncle, Marie and Jorge Hincapie. Together they have over 30 years of apparel manufacturing experience.

Hincapie's statement about his confession

http://www.bicycling.com/news/pro-cycling/george-hincapie-admits-doping?page=0,1

"Three years ago, I was approached by US Federal investigators, and more recently by USADA, and asked to tell of my personal experience in these matters. I would have been much more comfortable talking only about myself, but understood that I was obligated to tell the truth about everything I knew. So that is what I did."

So gracious:rolleyes:

"Early in my professional career, it became clear to me that, given the widespread use of performance enhancing drugs by cyclists at the top of the profession, it was not possible to compete at the highest level without them. I deeply regret that choice and sincerely apologize to my family, teammates and fans."

Deeply felt, not!

Just confirmed. George Hincapie is one of the riders who has provided in-depth testimony to the doping practices at US Postal cycling team according to today's press release from USADA.

This is so weak, that's disgusting.

Yeah, pretty much doing the absolute minimum to try and save what little credibility he may have left after this.

Does anyone believe Hincapie stopped charging in 2006? No way.

Agreed, lol. His body's natural endocrine system would be so screwed it would take years to recover.

Remember how he had leadership of USPS in the 2006 Tour and was expected to dominate, or at least do well, and he instead fell apart? And that was all she wrote for Hincapie as team leader . . . .

Could be he faced a choice, and made it.

I think it is a reasonable statement.

Personally, I don't think just because you dope your a terrible person, more a person who made a mistake but I'd warm to it more if he didn't include the bit about being clean from 2006 which I don't believe at all.

No sorry, not buying into that. He finished 17 TdFs the last one this year aged 39. He finished 19th Overall Tour de France in 2009 at 36 for a guy who was a classics specialist!

Doping didn't end in 2006 and I am sure Hincapie did enough to keep getting a job.

As for his anti-doping bit, amazing how no one has come out on the internet and talked about all the good he has done:rolleyes:
