Hot racing coming up in Australia

Interesting that Jack Haig returned to Australia for the first time since turning pro in 2015, and still hung around even though Bahrain Victorious did not ride the Cadel race. He was decent in commentary.

Jackson medway looks a talent. I'm surprised he was not snapped up by the Jayco feeder team Axeon - I'm interested in whether another development team offers him a ride or if he stays with Bridgelane who do ride a a good European calendar. Expect him in the WT in 2025.

Pithie is another talented rider that FDJ upgraded from their loaded development team last year.

Piffie is in stellar form. With BlackSpoke going down, he has a legitimate chance at the national title in Timaru in two weeks. That sponsorless FDJ jersey would be a masterpiece.
It would just be a white jersey with a black fern leaf on it, George Bennett said on a podcast that the NZ federation won’t allow it to be (in my opinion better) a black jersey with a white fern leaf.

Just read the PCS live ticker on the Ocean Race…

Most unbelieveable fact: PCS writes,

„552 out of 1403 players in the PCS game picked PITHIE Laurence as the winner today.“

Can this be true? I mean, he was one of maybe 10 to 15 favorites… But more than 33% of the players predicted a Pithie victory. That seems extremely surprising, to me…

I think you pick five winners in this game.

How many of the worlds countries would even fit the criteria? Nothing in North or South America. Nothing in Africa. Obviously not Europe. Nothing in Oceania either really? Which leaves Asia which still has many places influenced by Europe like India, The Philippines etc. Not a lot of countries left.
Former European colonies desclared independent by the Indigenous population. Egypt is more Arab than British.

Yes I agree. He can definitely have a media career when he retires.

Surprised to hear Phil Liggett as well, for the first time in several years (for me). He was surprisingly un-senile for being 80 years old, but he didn't really add anything either.

José Been (commentating Marseille):

"Groupama-FDJ off to a great start with... Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig"

Euhm...

(And, as has been mentioned before; the two FDJ teams aren't actually affiliated with each other.)

Do we know why. Copyright issues with the All Blackd rugby union jersey?
I can’t imagine so, since lots of NZ sports use a majority black uniform - including the national cycling team. I suppose it could be to differentiate it from the national team? The NZ cycling federation uses a black fern on a white background as their logo, so it could be to match that as well?
