IMHO the Cadel Race should be closer to the Herald Sun Tour, and make both of them .HC (or whatever the current equivalent is). Having them just over a week after the TDU would be good, especially if the TDU was moved back to its old timeslot - normally it finishes this weekend. No, inarguably Cycling is a global sport these days, it is just more popular in Europe. That is why I follow it .
The TDU has been well supported by pro teams since its inception and this discussion is about the Cadel Evans Road race specifically. That race would benefit by being scheduled one week before the TDU. Just my opinion.
Colombia? In which country that is not European or established by Europeans (or whose majority culture is not primarily descended from European culture) is cycling a major sport?
EDIT: Both Australia and Israel take part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Case closed.
Established, declared independent and ruled by descendants of Europeans. Speaks Spanish. Has now pretty much equal European and Indigenous ancestry in the population at large.Colombia?
Romania is out this year, so they can step in)Let's get Colombia in Eurovision !! Vamoooooooooo
Also this Ocean race is a race for Germans, who win here oftentimes.
Fun fact: cycling's biggest race has been won* by a non-European* more often than not in the 21st century.
Froome is Kenyan, as we all know, but his adopted home of the United Kingdom also recently decided not to be European. Though they were European when he was winning. Definite grey area! Are you including Armstrong and counting Froome as a Kenyan?

I know all of this, but it ruins the joke. They're still European. If whether or not a country is European is based on whether they're in the EU, then Switzerland isn't European, and that would just be weird...
And Froome is definitely British. He might previously have been Kenyan, but now he's British.

Nibali is from Sicily which is not part of the European mainland...so he's arguably not European either
No arguments there.I have forgotten how truly awful Australia's "Seven" channel can be.
How many of the worlds countries would even fit the criteria? Nothing in North or South America. Nothing in Africa. Obviously not Europe. Nothing in Oceania either really? Which leaves Asia which still has many places influenced by Europe like India, The Philippines etc. Not a lot of countries left.In which country that is not European or established by Europeans (or whose majority culture is not primarily descended from European culture) is cycling a major sport?
Can be? You mean is surely?I have forgotten how truly awful Australia's "Seven" channel can be.
