Im guessing Dennis is not in the greatest of form yet. Giro to get in shape and peaking for Olympics.
This, while Durbridge is targeting the classics again. Dennis is probably where he should be, Worlds TT would have been a huge boost for him.

Will Jancouver lead Team Don't-Like-This-Period again?

No, after he quite blatantly made doping innuendos and got a deserved ban, he apparently decided to abandon the forum all insulted.

But maybe his favourite topic is what's needed to bring him back.

I have to admit, the start of the season is not really the same without him.

Today's trivia:
I recently found this in an old magazine. Mr Humble, Matt Keenan is/was a very good rider who came 6th in the 1996 national championships. Tell all ya friends :D

He finished ahead of some good riders. "They" say that Jay Sweet was every bit as fast as McEwen back in day; possibly faster.

Keenan rode for a few elite amateur teams in Europe in his day, a little unlucky not to turn pro. Sweet was a beast.

Finally! A coalition! It's only taken 8 or 9 years...

10 riders, 8 of them WT. Harper, Haas, Hindley and McCarthy are going to go down swinging.

Freiberg is strong enough to join the party too. WTF is this guy doing on a small Conti team?

Strong, strong move from Meyer. Hamilton looked very strong too. Haas and McCarthy should be disappointed in themselves.

How long to go yet? Who in in the front group, please?
It's over. Meyer won after attacking solo on the climb on the last lap and held it when McCarthy and Haas didn't (couldn't?) chase. To be fair, they also had Lucas Hamilton and Luke Durbridge in the group who were very strong.

Hamilton also attacked with 3kms to go and took second while Marcus Culey survived the break of the day for third - brilliant ride.

Durbridge 4th, then Haas, Mccarthy and Harper.

Freiberg defended his title valiantly, dropped on the last lap after trying to attack. Chris Harper was strong too, did far too much work in the winning group though.

MS played their cards right by having 5 riders in the final group with 40 kms - MS need Meyer to ride the Vuelta after the Olympics, so they can get full value from his talent.

"Couldn't" may be the operative word. I was wondering why they didn't attempt to catch Meyer, but perhaps they already knew that the best they could hope for was second.

Yeah, if they did chase down Meyer Hamilton was indeed stronger, and even if they did chase him down as well they'd never beat a relatively fresh Durbridge.

I think it would have taken Matthews with the full support of Power, Hindley, Storer and Hamilton to beat them today. Even Clarke with all the EF guys in support probably would have found a way to come second or third.

It's important that Mitchelton Scott get Meyer to ride a GT in 2020 - Hopefully he can ride the Vuelta after the Olympics.

He doesn't like GTs. I think he is best suited to one week racing also. Medium mountains, ITTs and breakaways seems to be his hunting ground.

MS did Meyer a favor when they signed him to a three year contract, and allowing him to focus on the track - One GT in three years is hardly expecting too much.

Why? Simon Spilak hardly rode a GT his entire career but still made himself a reasonable palmares

Because MS is a GC focused team so you need to ride a GT to help the team - Meyer's hardly been over taxed with 54 and 46 race days in the last 2 days - You have to remember that his salary from MS is helping in his Olympic aspirations.

Is there a shortage of GT riders on MS?
