Outcome will depend from where it starts to be a 2-man battle. If it starts already at Civiglio, than Nibali has a chance. If it starts after than he will lose.Imagine if it ends up being a 2-man battle between Valverde and Nibali.

It makes sense then, he looked strong at Bernocchi. Although, not that strong, but things could change after 5 days, and Ala is a strange beast. He can be a contender certainly.I heard Alaphilippe broke a wheel and had to finish the race on Devenyns ' bike in Emilia, which is why he lost 10 minutes.
The overwhelming focus on the two from Emilia and Vinegar to a certain point opens possibilities for those in the background. And if there's a solid team around - the better. It makes sense then, he looked strong at Bernocchi. Although, not that strong, but things could change after 5 days, and Ala is a strange beast. So after Pinot beat Nibali in 2018, Nibali decided to voodoo Pinot's entire career.I was starting to suspect it, when he wasn't selected for any of the warm-up races.
His presence wouldn't have made a difference. He's no longer the rider who won two stages of the Vuelta, and Lombardia back in 2018.
Devenyns just drained his batteries sooner most likely. So Alaphilippe's own bike is motorized
He is going to help Pogi. What if Almeida wins it?
What if Almeida wins it?
I disagree. This is not the Tour. Even if these three are the main favorites the dynamics of the one day races can change so much. Sometimes difficult to control. The other ones have a shot, not long though. IMHO.Can't see past Mas, Pog or Jonas. The rest are long shots.
With Pinot, Gaudu and Roglic out, Bardet is the only one left for the housewives to cheer for. Bardet is in reasonable shape and is a good one day racer.
I'm hoping for a Nibali attack on the descent because I'm not a housewife.
He's not in Pog's tier for sure, but he can win. If he's able drop them them all uphill, he can certainly win. Also, is Vingo a favorite? The way I see it, he's surely not in Pog's tier.

I'm a part-time housewife and I'm cheering for Bardet, but also for Ala and Powless.

Perhaps on long climbs over three weeks of racing, but on shortish hills in a one day race I very much doubt he can beat Pogacar.According to dr Inigo Milan Pogi's metabolism is unequalled but even he has has a problem with digesting fishes. Vinge is his kryptonite.
Unless he shows something we haven't seen before (like at the tour). I too doubt it, but I wouldn't rule it out.Perhaps on long climbs over three weeks of racing, but on shortish hills in a one day race I very much doubt he can beat Pogacar.
Probably his Tour mountaintop stage win was a bigger deal in France, but I can see his Lombardia win as his biggest victory. Opposing viewpoints welcomeThibaut Pinot will not be at the start. The winner of Lombardia 2018 has closed his season and will not be at the start on Saturday of the great classic which will close in 2022. For him the last race of the season remains the Vuelta.
