What do the 88 employees do then if lots of it is outsourced?

Oh yeah post on internet forums and in comment sections...

Judging by their huge travel costs they do a lot of flying around.

Armstrong must be peanuts to Nikey. Dont know the score with Big Mick though.

They do owe him and he has friends on the board. They have just as much investment as him not being exposed and he does. Especially with those dreadful "On my bike for 6 hours a day" and "I’m doing it for them" advertisements.

One thing I noticed is that Livestrong (the "nonprofit" one) appears to be a pretty tight ship. There don't appear to be any leaks from employees, past or present.

You didn't really think that the millions Livestrong spends on legal only went to protecting the brand did you?

Some advice, when a person is let go "For Cause" it should actually be "For Cause" not because they figured out the scam

Another thing the article minimized is the comeback appearance fees. Lance didn't get "appearance fees in the high six figures" from the TDU, it's very likely he got $2 million. And I wouldn't be surprised if Zomegnan ponied up seven figures for the Giro.

The reporter didn't source any disaffected former employees either.

Here's a lot of awareness, for example.

If you were a disaffected employee, current or former, of Livestrong would you be eager to be quoted knowing deep pocketed Armstrong's propensity for litigation?

Also you would expect Armstrong to have signed up all employees with a confidentiality clause with a high liquidated damages component. That serves as strong duct tape over the mouth.

Cancer Awareness is revealed many ways. Your very question and my response show Cancer Awareness. Thanks to this thread, the CN Forum is probably the most Cancer Aware forum of all sports forums.

If not for Lance, would we even be thinking of cancer right now? Probably not. Would we be thinking of Malaria or Bromidrosis instead? I can not speak for you, but probably not.

Agree these are trivial examples. The more Profound Awareness in revealed in the inspiration of the researchers and patients.
Immeasurable effect.

My point is that Livestrong appears to be a pretty tight ship. If there's going to be any disruption of Livestrong, it is going to come from the deflation of the Armstrong brand/myth via negative publicity (or some legal attack from outside). It doesn't (at this time) look like any employees are ready to revolt against the man-myth. Whether loyalty to Livestrong is motivated by love, fear, greed, or a nondisclosure agreement, it does appear that the loyalty lives strong.

Agree with the highlighted - but that has nothing to do with "disaffected employees" - which WAS your point.

The reason the publicity is negative is because it rightly highlights the practices of the Foundation and it is that which will cause the donations to fall.

A bit superficial to suggest a coorelation between salary and being dissatisfied. Especially for super performers - salary is not as important as many other more important things. And there are many low paid employees everywhere that are very satisfied too.

But there IS a coorelation between super performance and pay. Dream Teams end up being expensive money wise. But well worth it. The fact that LiveStrong is chocked full of super performers should not be a suprise. To be expected actually. Great Foundation. Great Folks. Volunteers on up.

Aaw, 'cmon. Kudos to LA for involvement in cancer awareness. But there are plenty others. Here's one report 2 months old. He's not the only one. Just guys like Mark Davis are working quietly, not in the spotlight. (BTW, the treatment reported in the video is at stage II of the FDA certification process)

What is interesting in regards to the salaries is not this list.

If you add up the totals above and subtract these 12 people from the 88 total employees you can devise the remaining avg. salary per person - by using the total wage bill in the financials.

If my math serves me correct it works out to $34,000 per person!

Looks like there are some people getting totally ripped off working down there in Austin!

$US34k is a salary that amounts to being ripped off ? How well paid are you that you snear at that sort of salary ?

Posted in " skippyaus " and included the send up from some joker/galah about my shortcomings ! too busy to read 11 pages of redundancy !

Next days will be busy with the Youth Olympics now that Austria has a super abundance of snow ! Had to laugh about 150 skiers being stuck on the mountain today because they could not ski !

Hey, we interns work for free and we do not feel "ripped off".
Great cause. Great Foundation. Great coupons for the Yellow Rose wink wink.

on3m@n@rmy, great link - thanks for that.
Amazing technologies being used.
When Lance co-started Livestrong 15 years ago, he was naive as to what it would take to cure cancer. Now Lance realizes he is just a small part of the solution I would think. But great strides HAVE been made in those 15 years as your link points out. More cancer survivors today than ever before in history.

I think that the negative Lance publicity is hitting the Foundation much harder than the negative Foundation publicity. The attacks on Lance's personal trustworthiness are the real killer.

$34,000 is below the national average. Appears not much equality going on down there at Livestrong HQ - buy hey its a good cause so its all ok?

Looks like they've got the 99%'ers and the 1%'ers in the same building.

Well done Lance. Wool, eyes, pulled
