A bit of an off the cuff remark this but, possibly the sport opening up, being less regimented in its ideas about "cycling nations" or deference to the peloton hierarchy, when you are allowed to be successful etc.

Isaac is surrounded by the best and besides teammates w variety of similar experiences, the staff on UAE will put things in perspective.. I am also disappointed that he didn't marry Margot Robbie and they moved to Baja!! Maybe next time.. UAE will keep things grounded..guy should not have any regrets!!

TBF, some of the worldbeaters are from major cycling nations like - *checks notes* - Denmark and Slovenia.
And I know it's not that long ago neither were considered major cycling nations, but things change; maybe in a few years, Mexico will be considered a major cycling nation.

What an exciting performance from this kid. Aggressive riding. Couldn't shake his rivals, but at least he had a go. One of the more impressive WT debuts I can remember.
