Do those maps even show the supposed route through a roundabout, though? I would think every mapping software (outside of UK) uses the right side, and for more details there are signs, or additional information in the roadbook/communique.For me the situations aren't that similar because in Algarve the actual route matched the route in the roadbook and riders just missed it, and neutralizing the whole thing was nonsensical.
Now there were guys signaling and Aranburu was clearly endangering them. In which case, I absolutely think the roadbook should be damned.
Personally I can't remember having seen a map like this with the route going around both sides, at least.
