Where does he slot in your personal ranking of classics riders? There can't be too many you'd choose ahead of him at this point.Looked like he trained more on endurance for the classics after his last sprints but today he was really impressive.
Roubaix results speak for themselves. Some semi classics and Sanremo won in a sprint or a good echelon win before. But the longer hilly races will always be too hard. Don’t want to put a number on riders. He’s really good from Omloop untill Roubaix. E3 and Flanders not for him. Curious what he can do in Wevelgem this year.Where does he slot in your personal ranking of classics riders? There can't be too many you'd choose ahead of him at this point.
Only Pogacar, Van der Poel and Evenepoel rank above him, in my opinion.Where does he slot in your personal ranking of classics riders? There can't be too many you'd choose ahead of him at this point.
How many different classics has Remco won?Only Pogacar, Van der Poel and Evenepoel rank above him, in my opinion.
I suspect you already know that, but if not, it's easy to look up. If you're arguing that Philipsen is a better classics rider than Evenepoel, I'd love to hear your arguments. I'm not sure why how many different classics, as opposed to how simply how many classics, is important, though. How many different classics has Remco won?
I can't help but wonder - when does he want leadership for PR? Second place two years in a row means he can win.
I know vdP will want to win again, but there has to be a bit of "you ride for me here, I'll ride for you there" behind the scenes with those two. I'd expect vdP to put Flanders first and foremost on his demands. They're both huge stars at this point.
How many different classics has Remco won?
He overachieved a lot in his career due to MVP. It would be a bad decision if he ever left his team.Philipsen must be a great politician. He gets Mathieu to ride for him at the Tour and at MSR but then not at PR, but it's not like Mathieu wins because Philipsen is there - he just destroys the opposition.
Are Worls ,Olympics and San Remco classics?LBL, San Sebastián, Worlds, Olympics.
Philipsen has MSR, De Panne and Kuurne...
How many classics, exept monuments, have Remco raced? How many have Jasper raced and what results does he have in those?I suspect you already know that, but if not, it's easy to look up. If you're arguing that Philipsen is a better classics rider than Evenepoel, I'd love to hear your arguments. I'm not sure why how many different classics, as opposed to how simply how many classics, is important, though.
Again, you probably know the answer already. If not, then you can easily look it up. I don't have to do that for you.How many classics, exept monuments, have Remco raced? How many have Jasper raced and what results does he have in those?
Let's talk about the whole UCI world tour then. Or doesn't that fit your arguments?Again, you probably know the answer already. If not, then you can easily look it up. I don't have to do that for you.
What I don't understand, though, is why non-monument classics suddenly are more important than monuments, when obviously it should be the other way around. Could it be that it's because it doesn't fit your arguments?
And Scheldeprijs! Never forget Scheldeprijs. Philipsen absolutely smokes Remco when it comes to random 1.1 and 1.Pro Belgian one day races, which, as we all know, are the real classicsLBL, San Sebastián, Worlds, Olympics.
Philipsen has MSR, De Panne and Kuurne...
Best bit is here that Remco still has more WT one day wins than PhilipsenLet's talk about the whole UCI world tour then. Or doesn't that fit your arguments?
Let's talk about the whole UCI world tour then. Or doesn't that fit your arguments?
If you ignore the world championships and olympics because they're not real classics (?), and San Sebastian because Remco is too good at it, and LBL because Pogacar didn't finish those races, then Philipsen has a way better classics record. So we can't talk about the biggest one-day races in the world?
I guess it's your arguments that don't fit.
Alright, I'll take the troll bait and hand you the statistics (pro tip: you can use the website www.google.com to find stuff like this):Let's talk about the whole UCI world tour then. Or doesn't that fit your arguments?
San Remo absolutely. Classics are not just the monuments or Spring cobbled classics. Are Worls ,Olympics and San Remco classics?
I feel like I could have nipped this whole argument in the bud by specifying "cobbled classics rider" like I had intended to.San Remo absolutely. Classics are not just the monuments or Spring cobbled classics.
I was hoping to invite comparisons with guys like Jorgenson, Pedersen, van Aert, Laporte, Kung, etc.Where does he slot in your personal ranking of classics riders? There can't be too many you'd choose ahead of him at this point.
