Ok I have no problem with a TT/Sprinter/Stages/Classics oriented team for the first year per se, but now they will have about 12 or so guys who would like to target Flanders and Roubaix. Why expand your roster for that when you could purchase a couple of solid climbers... I get the feeling are really pigeonholing themselves here.

Maybe Durbo and Hepburn won't be signing for GE yet... If Dean and Meier and Beppu (and/or Bauer and Roberts) sign there wont be much space.

Jane Aubrey (Aussie CN journo) has said that he has had many offers and that there will be some news on what's happening with him in 2012 soon. So his last hope has not exploded.

Neo pro just means that they are a first or second year pro, it actually doesn't matter how old they are

Its 2. If you have one neo-pro your roster is 29, if you have none you can only have a roster of 28.

and yes, neo pros have to be under 23 (The age of the rider is determined by the difference between the year of his hiring, and the year of his birth. The status as neo pro will always end 2 seasons after he signed (for riders signing in Jan-June it will be Dec. the subsequent year, and for riders signing in Juli-Nov. it will be in Dec. two years later).

If you are over 23 you are reffered to as a "new proffessional" not a neo pro

I'd have said it takes a fair bit of innuendo to deduce that Sutton's leaving from this:

If Jack Bauer signed for GE, wouldn't he count as a neo-pro has he has only ridden on a continental team (Endura)? The same way Andy Fenn counts a neo-pro for QPQS seeing as tough he is joining them from Sean Kelly's An Post team.

Yes just what they were missing a mountain goat . I suppose though if u do have 10 sprinters its fair enough to have 10 leadouts

I will interesting (sort of) to see if they can pull off riding in three simultaneous races with three complete lead out trains including a specialized final lead out guy and a specialized sprinter.

good signing. I was a bit worried they were a bit short on sprinters with all the classics specialists, mountain domestiques and gc guys they had picked up. Dean gives them a whole new set of options in targetting sprint stages.
