It's what we have come to expect.

He's SO busy now with his triathlons and kids that he has 'no time' to pay anymore attention to that stuff.

just posted:
VeloNews ‏ @velonews RadioShack manger Johan Bruyneel is at Hilton Sonoma but not speaking w/ press. Team media director Philip Maertens would not comment.

This really is a PR nightmare for the team. Looks like room service for Johan tonight.

Johan thinks if he doesn't say anything it will all go away. When the Feds meet you at the Airport clearly it is not "Going Away" it is getting worse.

He is smart to not comment. When he goes off on his rambles about trolls he just looks silly. It is not my fault he is in trouble.....and telling people where I live is not going to stop the Feds

I have to say I am more then a little disappointed that Mark and Joe have not given me any credit. Have been saying this would happens for weeks. :D

It has to be the ongoing FL investigation, right?

That would be my guess. Bruyneel has said in public before that Floyd tried to blackmail his way onto Team Radioshack. If Floyd is being investigated for Fraud or what not - Bruyneel would be a key figure.

As far as the Frds meeting Johan at the airport, I would guess Bruyneel and the Feds had a discussion on that beforehand. Checked eachothers schedules and planned the meetings.

Hope everything works out OK for Floyd. Really hope there will be insufficient evidence and he is cleared too. Hang in there HoneyBadger grrrrr.

Grasping. Straws.
I do like the comment about the pre-arranged meeting at the airport idea.
Did they pick him up in a limo maybe? That would be a nice touch...vip treatment

Why is Bruyneel getting served papers by the Feds if the investigation into Armstrong and US Postal has been closed down?

According to the Velonation report, Johan was supposed to have a little chat with these cats. Is he under any obligation to tell the truth or to even talk with these people?

Keep up the good work and information RR, thx.

So it was the Feds that served him, nice.

It is so reassuring to see rats eating each other in times of crisis. As malevolent as this may sound, I hope the cannibalism continues.

Is anyone required by law to even talk to the USADA?

Wouldn't the USADA lay down some sanctions, and then Lance has the right to appeal to the CAS. Sanctions and appeal.

There will be no USADA trial on TV. No witness forced to testify under oath right? Sanction or no sanctions.

And if Lance wanted to appeal the sanction to the CAS, he would not need to be on any stand under oath unless he wanted to.

F*ck you polish

He met with them on Friday, which is why he was not at the ToC Press conference.

He can chose not to talk with them but then he would not be allowed to leave the country

This explains why Lance so quietly let the Birotte decision pass with barely a whisper. He didn't want to whack the killer bees' nest with a stick. One carefully planted PR piece with MJ to show he doesn't give a sh** anymore and then he will just tuck into the fetal position and let the situation play-out. Since he's safe from prosecution, he'll be happy to take his millions and just LiveStrong®

He doesn't give a sh** because he knows he is powerless to avoid the cold wind that is now blowing in his direction.

My guess about Floyd is that somewhere in the last 2 years, a significant bad nugget of truth was discovered by the team, prompting them to ring the phone down at the San Diego US ATTY's office (so they could still hopefully continue on with the case up in Los Angeles). Once the SD guy said that the crap was true, the Armstrong criminal case effectively imploded from a conviction POV. But enough evidence was left over to warrant handing it to USADA.

Not sure I understand what you mean in the last paragraph. Can you please clarify? Thanks

Can/did he have a lawyer present for the questioning?

One other comment on the MJ interview then I'm out. I truly believe Lance will never confess. He would allow them to strip him of all of his wins and ket all of his friends hang first. For if you never confess there will always be a handful of true believers who will stick by you no matter what happens, and some of them will defend you harder than you will defend yourself. But once you confess, that's over.

For someone like Floyd, it didn't matter much. He had lost everything, and had something to gain from confessing. Both in fans/supporters, but also somewhere in his core the Menonite boy who loved to ride his mountain bike was still there and telling the truth took many burdens away.

Lance has no such option, he has completely painted himself into a corner. And he has no such place in his core where confessing would assuage any strain.

+1, well said indeed.

In addition, there is the fact that some peoples high up the ladder have/had a lot invested in Lance being clean, at least in the public's eye (the UCI, Nike, for instance).

Lance really is Schnee von gestern. It's guys like mcquaid (/verdrugge) and bruyneel whom I'd like to see exposed (though that obviously requires Lance to be exposed as well).

Alpe's comments reflect something very unAmerican. Lance or anybody else are not required to confess anything even if they are guilty, simply not the way the system works. If accused of a crime that happened 10 years ago in Europe, was passed over by a very committed and competent Novitzky squad, it would be logical to allow the process to play out. The question of ethics is dumb.
I would love to see the day when everybody from speeders on the freeway to drug dealers, murders, tax cheats, ect all rolled over when accused of a crime. yes your honor I was going 71mph in a 55 zone please punish me. This is like an after school special.

Yep, morality is just plain dumb and childish. I'm off to murder a grannie. That's what mother's day is all about; it's their turn. After that I'm just gonna LiveStrong.

be aware that in many courts in the US it is difficult to plead guilty to murder, even Grannie's they must prove you guilty. Innocent until proven guilty is the standard we are trying to keep for everybody . Armstrong may be guilty of a crime or 10 but lets let the court decide. And from a legal point of view I think that lance has been exposed to many qualified law enforcement people at the highest levels and for decades without much merit put on rumor.
The idea that Armstrong is compared to murders is why he has not been convicted of anything. As we learned from the Bonds blunder, being overcharged can backfire way before anything reaches trial. When Landis said that airport security, customs officials all colluded w Pharmstrong that really helped.

Just a minute ago you were talking about morality and that ethics is unAmerican and just plain dumb. Now you're trying to convince us jurisprudence is epistemology as well.

Why do some American's love lawyers so much? The money? The perceived status? All the courtroom TV shows? Yeah, let's all want our daughters to grow up to be Judge Judy.

Since the MJ article appearing he has been quoted stating: "7-time Tour winner - fact".

Oh dear.

That's funny, the good folks over at http://www.lancesupport.org/inspirational-quotes.php

Have this inspirational quote on their website;

"In 10 years time," he said, "if I'm sitting around saying, 'I was so strong on L'Alpe d'Huez in 2001,' then I got a problem."

Before he came back, didn't he say basically Saestra was weak champion and I was so much stronger than any of these guys? Maybe, it is me but to me that sound a lot like your quote.
