Looking back at Trine's comments about racing too much, altitude camps and the likes puts things into perspective and really underlines how ridicolous that article was in the first place - there is absolutely no chance other than preparing 100% optimally for a race like this against Pogacar. You can't have the best of both worlds if you want to beat Pogacar, and you probably can't beat him anyways, but this is not the Jonas of 22-24. This is the Jonas of "hey, I imporved my explosiveness for absolutely no other reason than keeping it close until the mountains".
I wonder how Jonas and Visma feels about this. Grischa was very honest about it all, but haven't heard a bleep from Jonas who most likely was very, very disappointed. Matteo was defeated, no excuses.
