It's all subjective, what one might find "flamboyant and empathetic", another ridiculous and repugnant. Vingegaard won his Tours with a strength and bravura that simply contrasts with his meekness and reticence during interviews. Pogi tries to be the good grandson, Vingegaard the avuncular family man. I'd say Jonas' performance in the Tour TT last year was as flamboyant and emphatic as you get. By contrast, the way Pogi demolished the recent Giro was totally robotic and monotonous, without a shred of drama.
I love the way you make it sound like the Giro was Pogacar's fault, rather than the revelation of capitulation in the face of risk management.

Not at all, I was merely pointing out the subjectivity of saying Pogacar's feats are more "flamboyant and emphatic". To others Vingegaard has been no less spectacular.
to most ppl vingegaard achievements hasnt come without a asterisk attached to it. Beating a injured pogacar and what not its always been a asterisk to it so as flamboyant couldnt be further from the reality for me atleast.

Not taking anything away from the guy, its just is what it is aswell but for most ppl saying hes flamboyant is a big stretch

Sure, but his TT performance in last year's Tour was crushing, even had Pogacar not had the injury. Whereas in 2022, when Pog had no such injury before the Tour, he simply was outpowered by the Dane

It gets funnier and funnier with the opinions from here and there on competing teams trying to put a pressure ball on Vingegaard already stating him as the big favourite, when no one knows anything yet, not even Vingegaard himself.

Not even the slightly heavier bold-minded once-a-year viewers of cycling really believe it, not the ones I've spoken with, nor even my 86-year-old aunt, who is a die-hard Jonas fan.

But fine with a bit of nonsense and gossip as a warm-up. It's cozy.

Pretty sure he will be ready for the tour.
He had a training ride on 5h 30m this tuesday in Tignes.

He is good to go!

3rd Tour win is on the horizon. No problem.

Stop it, Vingegaard will line up late June in Italy and you know it

3 minutes down once we hitting the Pyrenees and magic will happen
He needs pogacar to have any form of accident then for that to happen like hes always have had to rely on. Which it can so better to go to the start.

I to think he will be on the start for in Italy hes had enough time of training it seems for that now which is good.

Yes, something needs to happen for Pog, but Im not really that scared of Remco and Roglic if you're Vingegaard even at 90% in a race such as this. Thats why you still line up and take the chance. There's still the Vuelta, and Vingegaard can cruise to that win regardless and there are no other races really you want to contest or have a chance to win in this part of the season.

Stage 4 could already be carnage, there's a bunch of teams with incentive to try and bury their rivals early before they can get a head of steam. Whoever is feeling good will think the others will have come in underdone or injured, not a chance they will want Vingegaard cooking in week 3 on those hard stages with only a small deficit.

Hmm, I dont really know what to expect of this stage. At no point do you actually have the gradients, and the distance is also quite low, but there's indeed lots of climbing and a bit of altitude thrown in there as well. Exciting stage for sure, especially given the question marks we have so a team like UAE might still use this stage. No reason not to try at least. Early mountain stages like this thats not just a meh MTF is lovely as we saw last year in the Pyrenees.
