I love the way you make it sound like the Giro was Pogacar's fault, rather than the revelation of capitulation in the face of risk management. It's all subjective, what one might find "flamboyant and empathetic", another ridiculous and repugnant. Vingegaard won his Tours with a strength and bravura that simply contrasts with his meekness and reticence during interviews. Pogi tries to be the good grandson, Vingegaard the avuncular family man. I'd say Jonas' performance in the Tour TT last year was as flamboyant and emphatic as you get. By contrast, the way Pogi demolished the recent Giro was totally robotic and monotonous, without a shred of drama.
