No he was leader. He was told by Brailsford in April and selected as leader just prior to the race.

Which is it? Was he selected to lead in April or at the last minute when nobody else wanted it?

He (Hog) says it here:

Brailsford selected JTL to lead the worlds in April 2012 when he was at Endura.

When what actually happened was that he (Brailsford) selected him (JTL) to ride the worlds in April 2012, and that he (JTL) was only selected as leader shortly before the race.

I'm not sure if anything in his (Hog's) argument depended on his (JTL's) selection as leader in April 2012, rather than simply on his selection for the Worlds team.

It was all a part of a big, secret plan......one that Tiernan-Pecharromán did not find out about until right before the race started

It was never an argument. Just providing information that is all.

He was training with Sky, Smith his manger told the reporter Brailsford wanted him for the Worlds knowing Wiggins's Tour/Olympic objectives he became leader.

He turned up to the worlds with a Sky powermeter so yeah his involvement with Sky when he was at Endura was significant. That was the point that was being made.

Let's not get caught up with those attempting to cause conflict.

Do you have any information to support this claim?

Or were you ?

No I just mentioned JTL had a Sky coloured powermeter on his bike.

You got hung up playing the man trying to tell us Wiggins was leader. Which has since been proven that Wiggins was not leader and JTL was.

In covering up your tracks you began to attack me. I won't take the bait and have reported your aggressive posts.

For the sake of the forum let it be.

JTL was leader, trained with Sky/Brailsford since April 2012 and used a Sky powermeter at the worlds.

Wiggins was not leader as you stated. That was incorrect information. Proven by Wiggins and JTL.

Not much clearer than that. End of story.

Well - I think I would believe The Guardian over CN (sorry).

No need to be sorry. I didn't quote cyclingnews so no problems.

It was reported in several publications. Direct quotes. Not sure now the medium matters in that case but carry on with being sorry

Really? Do you have a link that says Brailsford selected JTL to lead the worlds in April 2012? Must have big news to make a choice like that months before the race, instead of 48 hours before the start when everyone else passed. Must have been in several publications......unless it never happened

He's not going to give it up that easily.

He's a master wind-up merchant. Very clever, very funny and very good at what he's trying to do :D

The mods have warned the both of us. Let it rest. Your contribution was Wiggins was the leader so perhaps your not the best person here to be providing input. As you had no idea JTL was leader.

I've reported your post. Let it be.

His internet connection must have been down, that Tuesday.

Well my (sorry) comment was more about saying I believed someone instead of the news site that ran the forum I was commenting on. I guess much like if you posted on a Liverpool based site and said you believed Tranmere news over theirs. Nothing more meant than that - and believe me, I have no friendship with The Guardian.

Quite possibly it was down, yes. Too miss something as obvious as JTL being leader. I'd check the ISP to see if something occurred.

Back on track to my earlier post; JTL training with Sky since April 2012, Sky powermeter at the Worlds, Brailsford states the passport infraction is an Endura problem.

Doesn't read that way. Although it probably depends on the outcome.
