Further details

Looks like the Western Morning News (his local paper) got more info:

`It has been reported that Tiernan-Locke’s desire to delay the hearing is related to the availability of legal representatives.'

^What music? If the UCI/WADA can't catch somebody dead to rights with positive doping tests..unless they have 10 witnesses, you can't base your case on "explain these numbers to us" principal.

Of course, these are NOT criminal cases in courts of law...so I suppose the rules and principle of innocent until provent guilty doesn't apply. Carry on!

All he needs to do is say he ate some tainted meat anyway....good to go.

Errr... No.

Seems UCI and UKAD weave new webs........

Mike Adams@vayerism

JTL now claiming he didn't ask for delay.

Claims are that Cookson son Oli wanted it moved till after UK TdF start....

Phil White ‏@Thundergusset

@vayerism Oli asked daddy to delay it until after the UK Tour start.

I would really hope that's not the case, I wouldn't be surprised though...

I just saw this article on the main site:

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tiernan-locke-denies-requesting-hearing-delay

So it seems that the delay is because one of his legal representatives is not available, the argument over who asked for it seems pretty irrelevant if that is the case.

Hush now, that can't be the reason. The reason must be something far more convoluted and suspicious and unlikely. In most situations these are reasons that anything happens. It must be the president's son asking for a favour from Daddy.

Got to love the internet.

He doesn't seem the sharpest tool in the box based on that interview, does he? So although he's saying it's been delayed because one of his legal representatives had something else on, asking for the delay is nothing to do with him apparently. Here's a hint JTL - when you employ lawyers to act on your behalf, they do just that, so any requests they make are done so in your name. . .

JTL is the enemy now?

Dragging down Sky's name? Please.

It seems like he want's to make the distinction that he thinks it was unavoidable rather than he specifically requesting it when it could go ahead.

Thing is, it could go ahead. I hope he is very annoyed at his representation.

well yes ,but there is in reality no distinction...the first part of doing a job is....eh... turning up....

if his law firm can't even turn up then....

at least he knows he is less important to his firm that the current client getting all the attention...hope his hourly rate is correspondingly lower :)

There was that interesting case between Kerry Packer and the MCC, Packer simply retained all of the top barristers in London, forcing the MCC to retain a second rate one. In this case it could be that's there another sporting star who can pay more than JTL.

Putting words in someones mouth much?

Not at all. Subtext is used in writing to provide a point without saying it. Which appears now JTL is the enemy.

Poor guy. Hung out to dry by Sky and now the bots have sent him to the gallows.

So you think he is innocent?

What does innocent mean in cycling? In Sky?

You'll find the anwser at the crossroads of co doping and excessive cortisone use.

As yours. But you were shocked by Leinders at Sky so deep down you know as well as I do.

Keep punching.

What has that got to do with JTL???

I admire a man that marches to the beat of his own drum, but do forgive the rest of us if we think its gibberish.
