maybe he had a lot of EPO in his system from the night before, screwed up the sample.

anyway, got to feel sorry for JTL. With a bit more luck he could have been the next Froome.

Looked about 100 times better riding a bike than Froome too, oh well.

Don't think so.
Sir Wiggo just smokes spliffs at the cafe and heads home on foot.
Froome will never be unleashed.
JTL really is a clown.

"To hear Jonathan say things like the UKAD anti-doping hearing was a mickey mouse court, I think that’s very foolish and not a wise thing to have said. I’m giving him a message that’s quite clear, he’s putting himself in a deeper and deeper hole," Cookson said of the rider who plans to return to competition in 2016.

I love the UCI. QUIET OVER THERE!!
Apparently Cookson didn't read the decision. It was very unprofessional.

JTL's biggest mistake was not hiring the correct lawyers and expert. He needed the ones that work for IOC sports federations when they are not on CAS panels themselves.

Why are you bringing up a year old quote now?

I'm not certain, and I'm not answering for DW, but suspect that the Dr. Stephane Bermon thread brought up some interesting thoughts with regards to the doctors playing both sides of the fence.

I'll take it!!!

The truth is I didn't check the date on the article while digging around for Bermon stuff.

Missed by most was that JTL as recent as August stuck by his claim that several athletes had received passport letters but never went through the AD process like he did.

He also raises a good point with regards to Impey, Rogers etc. who were able to sneak out of their positive controls. RK being another.

@J_T_Locke: DI,MR,GVA,RK;floodgates.Probs TD soon.Swept under the proverbial.Cheers UCI, career derailed via passport by never doped athlete!

@J_T_Locke:There are others....from many teams. Seems a question of resources.

Jonathan Tiernan-Locke says he plans to race for himself when ban expires

http://road.cc/content/news/169526-jonathan-tiernan-locke-says-he-plans-race-himself-when-ban-expires#sthash.vqDGhPDT.dpuf

Former Team Sky rider Jonathan Tiernan-Locke, sacked by the British WorldTour team when he was handed a two-year ban for doping, says he may race as a solo rider when his suspension expires next year.

Dodgy bit here....

The priority now is to lose a bit more weight.

"I don't carry much body fat, but I naturally carry muscle on my arms – places where I don't need it.

"But I know what I'm doing with weight-loss, and I know where I'll need to be in the new year."

AICAR.......

What effect does his average night out on the town have on muscle mass ?
JokeAlert
They say one particular muscle doesn't perform at all well
after a night on the town.
I guess that could be the first to go.
Ouuch!

The Twitter people @VeloUK still think he's innocent apparently they know him and know he would never do that

He should open his mouth and start crying wolf.

A few Facebook comments taking the piss about him never testing positive were answered by someone close to him saying there is more to it than has been made public. It's amazing how gullible people close to him really are. I can't see One Procycling signing him - their goodwill and event invites will soon dry up.

I genuinely hope UKAD ping him and so he is gone for good. (or at least 8 more years anyway, which is effectively the same)

Don't care if he is a nice guy or not.

What is the difference between JTL and any other pro?

That interview reads like a normal pro interview, level of fitness good blaha bla, lose weight blablabla, strength blabla...........if he didn't get pinged for doping it could have been any AngloSaxon pro saying all that!

On one level no difference.

I applaud any doper being popped.

But his ancillary activities (like his drunk driving) do not endear himself to me.

I agree RE the drink driving. A cyclist should know better!
