This is the main question. We need to wait for May.The bald fraud is not a fraud after all? Or Ayuso is already peaking in March just like last year?
I feel like he's too hot right now and going to fade at the Giro. This is the main question. We need to wait for May.
However, he looks strong compared to his Giro rivals.
Possibly or he has simply taken big step forward in his development. Impressive today and also impressive from Del Toro to work hard to shred the lead group, recover and then slalom his way back through the field to finish well inside the top 10.I feel like he's too hot right now and going to fade at the Giro.
What are Ayuso's numbers compared to last year?
I haven't seen direct comparisons, but from what I've seen today was similar in level to Petrano. What are Ayuso's numbers compared to last year?
Obsession with W/kg as indicator of relative level needs to stop. Compare time gaps instead to other time gaps on similar efforts.
No it levels out factors such as overall fatigue, and overall performance levels. Doing 6.8 W/kg for 20 minutes more impressive when the rest is doing 6 rather than doing 7 W/kg. It would also take out systematic estimation errors. That indicates every single rider are capable of improving more? And thats false they arent, hence w/kg is a better indicator of measuring a riders level.
Say hello to Froome, Quintana, Bernal and the list goes on. W/kg alone and only isnt everything indeed but its better than what your saying.
Rog's the favourite for me.Kid making moves! Good to see! He is the favorite for the Giro..
We dont actually see the watts though. We know the time, route and condition and estimate watts based on that. And since climbing speed vary so much based on conditions, comparing to competition is clearly necessary to get a real gauge of the level.lol no time gaps are hilarius.contador performances would still be great today.why do you think every pro team does watts, not time gaps.this aint 63 anymore.you can easy see overall level went up directlly from watts.
At the same time Pidcock finished closer or pretty much the same time to Ayuso now compared to last year on Monte Petrano.Hindley is a good benchmark for Ayuso's performance in TA compared to last year.
They finished together on Monte Petrano in 2024.
W/kg are ridiculous as becuase you're comparing things that should not at all be compared this way.lol no time gaps are hilarius.contador performances would still be great today.why do you think every pro team does watts, not time gaps.this aint 63 anymore.you can easy see overall level went up directlly from watts.
Hindley was better in Valenciana and in the ITT last year.Hindley is a good benchmark for Ayuso's performance in TA compared to last year.
They finished together on Monte Petrano in 2024.
Well, Tirreno is primarilly just about getting the racing in, in light of la Classicissima, for which the race routes don't have to be excessively difficult. However, especially in its modern history, Tirreno is raced really hard, with the Italian event between the two seas offering some demanding terrain. In a tougher route like Catalunya, I don't think things change much for Ayusso, who should be up there battling Vingegaard and Roglic; but they would change significantly for a much heavier rider like Ganna, who would not be. In other worlds, Ayusso's strong showing in Tirreno shouldn't change in Catalunya. He will just be up against tougher adversaries on a route more suited to their climbing strengths.Let's not forget that Ayuso would have won Tirreno last year if Vingegaard was not in the race.
In 8 days starts Catalunya - a proper race with some really hard stages, not like this soft Tirreno.
More importantly Roglic and Jonas will be there. Let's see if Juan can perform against the big guns.
Guardiola.Clearly better than last year.
Who is the coach of Ayuso?
