means they weren't useless afterall.

i hate cycling, you got me there. but if you insist on knowing, my favorite race would surely be wimbledon. the atmosphere there is amazing.

what else you wanna know?

(more to the point, if you're trying to expose me, be my guest, i don't recall claiming to know much about cycling. sorry to disappoint you Zam)

After reading this:

http://www.newcyclingpathway.com/news/blog/transperancy-international

It seems that he first wrote an email to you asking you to pay him. Cos you hadn't. But you hadn't fired him. You hadn't apparently spoken to him for 6 months.

No threat - just asking to be paid.

You sacked him after he asked to be paid what was already owing to him? Classy.

When did his contract end, anyways? Cos if it was before you told him you sacked him, well, how does that even work?

See, I don't get the bit where he is supposed to to have said, 'pay me or it gets bad for both of us' before you start lawyering up and going fire and brimstone.

I remember reading this interview:

http://velocitynation.com/content/interviews/2011/trent-lowe

And Andy Shen seems to suggest that you went public because Kimmage was on the warpath. Care to confirm or deny?

We published all the emails etc etc... Kimmage was not a factor. He was upset about the whole thing, but not factor in decision making. Why would he be?

Anyhow, Trent and I don't see the events of they year the same. He did race around 30 days too, so it's unfair to say he didn't race at all. Not sure how many he finished.

In the end, the workload of pro cycling was too high for him. That isn't to say there aren't people who can handle the workload. Different humans can do different things. We both agree on that now, but it's too bad it ended up so nasty. Two people being stubborn.

On the other side, if I had never angered him, I would have never found out about Del Moral, which unto itself, I'm happy we did find out.

That's good to get this confirmed but I was more interested in hearing your comments on the work load (inherited from times when there was "help" to be found) that he claims got him exhausted in the long run. What do you think of that and has it changed since?

Trent just didn't have the physiology to handle Grand Tours. Now, could that be corrected by doping? Perhaps. But Trent didn't want that and neither did we. Pro cycling isn't for everyone. Even guys with 85 vo2 maxes don't always succeed because of the strain 30,000kms a year puts on you.

Trent has a higher IQ than 95% of the World. He has other attributes!

JV,

Some constructive criticism for you to take or to leave: perhaps you should get your "fingerprint" more under control. It is your greatest strength and fundamental weakness. It is two steps forward and one and a half steps back 100% of the time when it could be full speed ahead when the sport most desperately needs it. Not to say you aren't doing better than 95% of other people in the sport, however, that bar is low.

Regards.
V

I don't disagree, but I also can't stop the voices in my head.

Maybe a bad question but don't you feel you killed off his cycling carreer, it is not like he didn't have some years to go. Is he blacklabelled because of the affair you think?

That explains a lot of your posts. You clearly don't really want the best for the sport or a clean future. Instead you just want it to tumble all the way down.

No. I don't. Doesn't mean I handled it right. I didn't.

ffs.

to all the zam olyasses and froome19s: i don't recall directing any of my posts to either of you, so I'm not sure why my posts are keeping you busy. Sorry if any of my posts offended you. Now, if you'd be so kind, there is some interesting and important talk going on here. thanks in advance

I think it was a dɨck move on your part, but I appreciate the no-BS answer.

Say, I suppose ypi haven't happened to have talked to Thomas Dekker about his dubious identification as Clasicómano Luigi, have you? With all those rumours out there, it would be nice to have Dekker's role in this cleared up.

Yeah, don't you guys know the rules? "Mud slinging must be slung at all times at, and only at, JV. All other mud slinging is prohibited."

indeed, that's rule nr. 1. (just kidding of course, but you did do your share of mudslinging in here, in all fairness. Level playing field:))

seriously JV, if you've dedicated your life to aggravating guys with no sense of humor, check out Froome19's reaction to my wimbledon post AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! whuaaaaa.
(not saying I'm funny, but goodness me...)

Sorry, but it was not funny. And your post may have been in jest but that doesn't mean it was jest.

Thank you for the answer to my question its just that a couple of things(that i saw you post) you don't know or claim you don't know are funny not that all of us know everything...me i like the french open. By the way i don't particular like JV myself...not that it would mean **** to him( it will be hard to forgive him for his mistaken connecting the dots stuff imo).

Yes, it's always hard to forgive someone for acknowledging they shouldn't have been so judgmental regarding a rider. The more I read stuff like this, the more I understand how omertà starts. I think it's based on not wanting to say anything for fear of it being misunderstood. I'm sure this keeps my contemporaries awake at night.

(ok, not really)

Hey JV, just wondering if you wanted to shed any light on what Tyler said in the recent CN interview and references to 'Luigi' as a rumoured Fuentes client?
